AJs with 1 limper who's a station. What's our action?

Top 6 players get paid, 10 players left.  Reads on UTG is that he's a calling station and will definitely call a raise pre-flop and if he hits anything on flop or has a PP he will not be folding due to previous experiences.

Question is, what are we doing? Raising? if so, how much? Thoughts on shoving?

Means we'll be shoving 19bbs.  When we shove and get a fold around we gain an extra 13% of our stack but if we're called, what are we expecting to call us?

I think 20xBB is too big to shove over a limp with no antes, we just put ourselves in a spot where we're screwed everytime we get called (except maybe the odd like 99/TT that we flip with). Not many are ever calling here with AT or even small PPs.

It's good that he's a station, I'd just raise to like 1k ish, that's enough imo (given your stack size) to put people off getting involved behind with anything marginal. If you get shipped on you're behind almost 100% of the time on most tables and if that doesn't happen, we play a pot IP against a weak range.

Not obsessed with how many get paid but just giving the specifics for the game.  So what would you advise we do in this spot? Are you advocating shoving 20bbs here? Would that really be our optimal play?

Can either raise to 1k, maybe more, or ship it. Think either option is fine, and the table dynamic will determine which line is best to take.

19bb sounds like quite a lot to jam, but it's not really.

Why would you not want to be playing a calling station post flop in position where you will most likely know exactly where you are in the hand?

The real consideration is how active the players are behind you to determine size of raise, small if they are tight, would consider an all-in if they are loose and aggressive even at 19bb.

I really was not sure if I should shove or raise to 1000/1100 here but I elected to shove.  BB called me with AA which was just bad luck for me and naturally the limper folded. 

Shoving 19bbs at first glance seems okay, but if called what calls us? As mentioned earlier, we don't get calls from AT and small PPs so we're hoping to flip at best with 99-TT otherwise we're crushed.

Result is irrelevant and not bothered in the slightest. The play is the factor here. Shoving 19bbs seemed spewy and the general opinion here shows that raising would have been the best option rather than jamming.  If I was bothered about the results, I wouldn't give the outcome, is that what you would prefer?
