Had to smile when I got called. I wasn't too worried about the small re-raise and I would have 3-bet if the short stack hadn't gone all in.

But thinking about it later, maybe he does have the odds to call with 10 Q? He is risking 1035 chips to win 2500 and he has 34% equity in the pot.

Of course, I can't control what he does, but is it ever better to flat call and then call the shove if it comes and click back the dry side pot if it doesn't?

    Tbh... ICM and all that its a silly call from villain.

    He knows he is behind... but i imagine this was a bounty hunter and wanted a punt at the bounty on offer.

    flat and you give him the chance to get away from it
    or even worse get you off it if the flop doesn't hit you
    whereas shipping maximises your chance of getting his whole stack
