just because villain isnt going to shove here without a hand... i would expect to see ace king or even aces so would lay down my A A
Seriously though, OMG. Please give a valid reason for folding here. Your points noted above are wrong. We WANT to be up against AK as we are dominant! Villain has 3 outs and has to hit 2, bar a miracle straight. Same for ANY A-x hands, which form a massive part of his range.
We are 80/20 against ANY other pp. Every other hand, villain has to hit 2/6 outs preflop (obviously, this number can change based on board texture) but they have to hit a minimum of 2 cards whereas you have to do NOTHING.
This is the easiest call in the world. Anyone who folds this hand in this situation, and I apologise for sounding so harsh, needs to learn some more before coming back, as you are literally throwing money away.
As for the original question...... you've got the best starting hand possible, your playing for 50 pound, pre-flop shove.......
I'd love this situation.... CALL EVERYTIME.
The only explanation for such a fold would be if he knew the player exceptionally well and thought he was bigger than 77% to win the £50 over the long haul, so why gamble on one hand?
NO ONE is layin that down there if they are they shuoldnt be playing. I take a 77% chance all day long against the 89 lol
what a stupid and repetetive thread
If I was playing a multiple WSOP HU bracelet winner, the odds of me beating him over the long haul are probably nil.
Q: What would be the best way to beat a player like this?
Maybe: close your eyes and just shove every hand?
quick story tho :- i got my bankroll up to £500 a few weeks ago and wanted to play higher stakes, so i sat down on 2.50/5 with my £500 and was doing ok, got up to over £600 when :-
i get aces, raise to £20, sum1 re raises to £100, it get rerasied to £600 and a call.... my heart was going flat out as i couldnt afford to lose all my bankroll in 1 hand (only wanted to commit when i had hit big)
i folded my aces pre flop.. and 2 ppl went heads up.. kk v ak
case king came on turn and i was relieved..
then realised that i was on the wrong table and went back to the 25/50p tables
daz u are mental sitting with ur whole wedge on that table lol
i wud of spun it tho with AA
