Just home after a great weekend as always. Thanks to all the Sky team that do a great job promoting these events and to DTD,the tournament ran perfectly and even though it's a really serious poker tournament with 60K+ up for grabs still didn't lose the SPT atmosphere.
Personally, happy to cash again but really disappointed not to make the final table after being in really good shape when the bubble burst and beating myself up over one hand in particular. One day I swear I'm going to win one of these things!

In Response to Re: Coverage of the SPT Grand Final LIVE from DTD : it's the weekly semi's that hinder people qualifying, the semi's need to be made more frequent giving more people the chance to qualify - just my opinion.... Posted by Herbie536
next year can you have it on a weekend that ISNT part of the half term holidays so us parents can attend please? In Response to Re: Coverage of the SPT Grand Final LIVE from DTD : Posted by alexsdad
we have to put on events so as not to clash with UKIPT, GUKPT, Genting Poker series, DTD Deepstack etc
This date was set 9 months ago and still we ended up competitng with a WPT national in London
In short, school half term is less of a priority than who we have to try and sell an event against
i gather the SPUKC in february is in a half term too, but it is the only clear week in February already
Many people don't go away for half term or can get a weekend at the beginning or end of half term away

In Response to Re: Coverage of the SPT Grand Final LIVE from DTD : The Grand Final has been a £330 buy in for five years It is the lowest buy in of any major Tour Grand Final Satellites from as littles as £3.50 were running for six weeks (albeit people did find it difficult to qualify with weekly finals) Posted by SPT
