Quite happy with tally for the week considering most of these points came from £3 dyms, and showed a modest profit on sngs overall.

After a very lean november volume wise, there is now an impetus to get back into prio for Jan.

Wow! So you played, approx, 60 or 70 DYM's EVERY day. Respect, I really don't know how you guys do it.

Good luck with the Priority target in January.

I'll do an "end of Double Rewards" Week summary a bit later, but I'll just wait a while for some of the lads to report in.

Very pleased with my week, that is far & away the most Reward Points I've ever earned in a week, & yesterday (512) was my most in a single day. It's all relative of course, whether the target be 50 per day, or 2,000 per day.

I found it really helpful, to be with a bunch of other players, all striving to hit or beat our Targets.

Thinking out loud, if enough players wanted a monthly "Reward Points Target Thread" to help them keep the discipline, I'd try & run it, & maybe we could throw in a few little prizes, not for "most Points", but for general endeavour, humour, whatever.

We could have a Booby Prize, too, for Worst Performer. Think we'd call it "The Orford Award".

Yeah was 9-12 tabling Tikay. Turnover was 12-15 an hour or up to 90 points per hour. Very good value for such a low stake.
  • edited December 2013

Just a reminder, & perhaps a little bonus.

Those of you who played 5 days or more last week have already qualified for WINTER WONDERLAND Stage One ("Cash Giveaway") worth £5,000, see
    THIS

5 more days takes you into the £7,500 "Super Giveaway" & Days 11-15 take you to the £10,000 "Ultimate Giveaway".

Each of the three Freerolls carries a £1,100 Sky Poker UKPC seat as part of the prize fund.

You must pardon my old-fashioneditude, but how do you cope with 9-12 Tables? I'd like to manage more, but I need a little guidance.

Dual Monitors, overlapped tables on one screen, or tiled?

I don't have the dexterity I used to have, & I'm fine on my regular lappie (single screen, no monitor) with up to 5 Tables, beyond that I get a bit flummoxed. I play PLO8, which has a lot more decisions required (the two pots syndrome), but I'm on auto-pilot most of the time, & only the games at the 4-handed stage get or even need my full attention. I never need much decision-time, either, a couple of seconds max is plenty.

I'm certain I could cope with the decisions required for 10 or 12 games simultaneously if I could find a way to "set up" my tables better on my lappie.

My problems, apart from the above (single screen lappie) are in the "setting up" of each Table when it starts, as I'm quite fussy that each table is in "priority order" on my screen, top left to bottom right.

    Any advice?

PS - Sigh @ that late Everton equaliser. Still, 5 points clear is not so bad. ;)

Well good question! I dont have a specially made pc for poker, its just a standard HP all in one desktop jobbie. I am not a fan of lappies for poker.  My PC has a 23 in screen and a reasonable resolution meaning I can tile 12 tables with minimal overlap. With the old miniview tables, I couldnt get more than 9 tables so for me the new software suits my setup.

The great thing about using the tiling function is that all tables are in order of levels from bottom right up to top left of my screen. This means I can easily pay attention to the games at the top of my screen that pretty much need a push or fold decision late on in each game.

I would say my optimal number at the moment is 8-9, I did try 12 a couple of times and that was a rush, but I am a relative dym novice so I am sure eventually 12 will be my default.

All the games I play are nl holdem, but I could imagine with the longer thought processes needed for omaha it isnt possible to play the same amount of tables.

One thing I would say is watch the sng traffic tail off this week after the promo. I appreciate that cash is the bread and butter of the site, but having a sng happy hour every day wouldnt do any harm for creating action on this area of the site.

I am also no spring chicken Tikay, so it definitely isnt a question of age when it comes to multitabling. Its like anything else in life, practice makes perfect.

    Great answer, thank you.

Oddly, My "habit" is to have my priority tables EXACTLY opposite to the default, I have the priority ones bottom right, & the new tables top left. Guess it would not be hard to reverse the way my mind works.

Less SNG action this week? Inevitable, sadly. The site was incredibly busy over the weekend.

A daily SNG Happy Hour or two? Well personally, yes, I'd LOVE that! Whether Suit City see it that way is another matter. I'm up in the Mothership tomorrow, & if I catch Lord Poker in the right mood, I'll float the suggestion, but my voice does not carry a deal of weight in such matters.

Still, it does no harm to ask, does it?  ;)

    Daily Target 286

    Cash, SNG's or both? DYMs

How many days left to play - 0

Points achieved after Day SEVEN 2010

Behind or ahead ORIGINAL target after Day Seven - 10 AHEAD

Also hit small profit targets everyday and had a little bink in an £11 BH, so all in all a very pleasing week for me.

Thanks to Tikay and the guys that contributed on this thread, without it I almost certainly wouldn't have set a target of, or hit, 2000 points this week.

Finally, I of course would LOVE to see SnG Happy Hours introduced daily. That would be a massive boost for SnG players. I would also welcome a monthly sweat thread like this and like Tikay alludes to, I think there would have to be some small fun factors in there to see that it doesn't just fall by the wayside.

    Points achieved after day 7 - 2585
Behind or ahead target after Day 7 - 85 ahead
