HOW MANY TIMES!!!!!!

edited December 2013 in Poker Chat
Hi everyone,

First time starting a conversation on the forum.

I play regular on sky poker and try and improve my game everytime i play, but recently (last 2 weeks) ive been put on tilt very easily and playing lots of hands hoping too hit.... this isnt good.

the reason for this is.....  when i get my chips in... 9/10 times im confident im ahead. most of the time i am.
and everytime im gettin called and happy too see my oponents hand. AQ AJ..JJ vs 9             10 AND MOSTLY EVERYTIME GET BEAT. river turn or flop.

am i the only one this is happining too.. or is there anyone else out there.

im quite confident in my game and  play live mainly in casinos weekly tounry's and also pub league poker. but online is a diffrent story.
mostly sit and go's but recently playin alot of satalites too try and get into bigger mtt's.

any comments or advice would be great.

thanks.

Varience mate, if you are getting it in good as you say you are you will come out the other side a better player. GL

If your always getting it in good thats all that matters in the long run you will make the money.

Nothing against you but theres always sumone who post on the forum "its rigged" bla bla eg becaus they get 2 outered or someone gets lucky with a flush.

Just because your say a 70% favourite doesnt mean your gunna win that means 30/100 times you will lose even if it is 30 times in a row.

You might be on an unlucky streak but i bet there has been numerous times where you have sucked out got very lucky and not thought anything of it.

Just keep playing and if its bad luck it wont continue forever.

1 more thing you say you play in a casino yea difference there is you play barely any hands compared to online so thats a big diference also.

absaloutly, so many more hands online compared too live, thanks for the reply. i know in the long run i should win more rather than lose but its been a killer recently lol.
i dont want to come accross so hard done by ive been called by legitamate hands most of the time and what happens happens.
     thanks for the advice.

If getting beat by the river card tilts you so much, perhaps you're playing the wrong game?

Bad beats (and every other kind of beat too) are a fact of poker life. You have to learn to accept them and move on without "tilt"

Yea no worries should be a bit more specific what games are you playing and does the money have an effect on you if you lose? these sort of things can always cause someone to play bad or just go on big tilt as they cant control there emotions.

Best thing to do is just play through it and if its as bad as what you say it wont last.

i enjoy dym's but recently been trying too satalite to main events alsdo playing the tuesday main events. .. (could be a factor)
i dont play too high stakes. nothing out my bankroll or anything to get me worried.
i play for enjoyment and too hopefully increase my bankroll to go onto higher stakes.

Alot of the satelittes into the "main events" are fast paced so your gunna get alot of ppl shoving much lighter in the later stages so if you get unlucky in them its because varience very high.

Your gunna have trouble building a bankroll if every time you lose when you were a big favourite your just gunna be thinking about it ,  if you have good BRM theres no reason why things like that should let it effect you unless its just one of them really bad day where it feels like nothing is goin your way then stand up and take a 30 minute break if your still felling hot headed then maybe leave it for the day.

Also if you play low level cash games and dyms then the players are so much looser as you can expect with the money involved.

But good luck either way hope it turns out good for you.

    Bad beats are bad beats,

I doubt Sky is fixed, but it for some reason it is seen that way. Go to a live casino and mention Skypoker an see what the opinions are. You'll see a lot of negative comments, mention 888 or stars you'll get mixed opinions. But Skypoker for some reason does struggle within the bigger poker community.

An yes I understand the regular players here love the place. Personally I have not played enough hands to have an opinion on the site. But I do think instead of negative comments, your best choice of action vote with your wallet.

    Or.........................

Play an equal number of games on another site as you do on Skypoker then review the results.
