Noticed there a quite a few good tourn players using these as a money making exercise and play the daily quarter final, semi final and other sats.  Whilst I appreciate they are doing nothing wrong and probably make some money I do feel it is preventing other players qualifying for the prestigious live event in February.

I think if a player satellites through and is fortunate enough to qualify for the live event they should not be allowed to enter any further satellites.  This is not sour grapes because I bubbled the final a few weeks ago, honestly lol

To be fair I would guess that most that have already qualified have lost their buy in to further sats thereby enhancing the prize pool and allowing extra players to qualify for the next level.

I don't think so, if a player has won a seat in sundays final they can then attempt to satellite in again, if they make it they win £240, £52 for semi and £1100 if they qualify for live event and they already have a seat

I think he means that they may lose 3 x £52 Semis trying to get into the final so they've added to them prizepools and with a few doing it, that might be 1 more seat that wouldn't be there if it wasn't for them.

i won a £1100 seat on Sunday past, but just before the bubble went, i bought in direct, the reason for that was if you sat in and de reg you dont get your cash with Sky. but if sumit comes up and i cant go , then i can de-reg and get my cash back.

hope this makes sense, that may be a reason you think people are doing this, and looks like they have already quallified

other than the prize structure sats are really just like other tournaments
you pay your entrance and hope to win
so pick the ones that you feel more able to win
if the ukpc sats are too shark infested
but you want to play a sat structure
maybe play the main event sats instead
pocket the cash and use that to buy in direct

the one time I would agree with you is if the sat is into an event which you cannot buy in direct for. like some of the SPTs. In this case I agree people should only play to win an entry.
