Folding the turn? You would have to put him on A10 of hearts - nothing else. Never played the guy, but.... I ain't folding there.

Replying just to give my reasoning but ffs donk this is why you shuoldn't post hands with the names left in!

Well imo his range to c/r that flop is literally flopped sets and made straights. KK would 3bet pre, but think he'd flat JJ so imo on the flop he has JJ/AT/9T.

Gotta call the flop cos we're ahead of JJ, and getting an ok price to draw to a house if we can get another bet out of him on either turn or riv.

When we don't house up on the turn, we're still beating JJ, but there are way more combos of AT/9T than JJ and we're no longer getting a price to try and house up.

Slip - why does it have to be AThh ? Any AT will do

Imo, he'd pot control KJ/QJ 100% and I'm pretty confident KQ too. Think he'd just check/call any pr + GS or pr + OESD like AK/KT/AQ/QT etc.

The only big draw that he maybe might raise is AKdd/KTdd but even if we add in them 2 combos, there's still more made straight combos.

Firstly, a good player wouldn't 'put you on AK or AA', he'd put you on a range of hands of which AK/AA are a part of but not that big a part.

Secondly, never ever in a million years is he check/raising and firing 2 more barrels with KQ, KJ or QJ.... never ever ever.

FWIW, I think it's a pretty standard just call flop, call turn, call river for you readless but you shuold be taking names out and telling us what YOUR reads on the player are.

I said A10 of hearts as that is the hand that gives him the most equity going to the river, but of course, if they weren't hearts he'd be wanting to get it in before the flush comes.

I actually agree with Lambert180. At first I dont think I ever fold but if he is really solid then every aggressive action he takes screams of value betting. Even if he has JJJ he is never betting that river, never mind with any 2pr combo's and I dont think he even value bets 109 unless its the 109 of hearts.

I think craig may be right right. Not 100% sure but I wouldn't bank on him definitely betting 9T on the river.

On the flop we have 53% and OTT we still have 48.2% vs that ridiculously tight range. So folding flop or turn would definitely be a mistake. We can fold river though.

Folding the turn??  Do we dislike money that much?  Just cause he's a 'solid reg' does not mean when he decides to raise he always has the absolute nuts.  Maybe reputations preceed players too much these days.  Obviously he's going to take advantage of this image once in a while... surely?  Otherwise he'd have to make all of his money just by coolering people all day as his play becomes so see through.

Either way I'd be tempted to 4 bet flop.  Not sure about river, but I probably end up calling and feel sick when he shows QhJh

This is why name should be taken out cos against just a 'solid reg' I'm probably never even thinking about folding. He doesn't have to have the absolute nuts but it is sets and straights on the flop and we lose to a lot more combos than we beat.

Fwiw, he probably makes his money from...

1) coolering people

2) regs doing what you just said, levelling themselves thinking 'it can't always be the nuts' then you call and realise it is AGAIN.

3) a lot of recs where being completely transparent isn't much of a problem

What's wrong with it? I never said it was an exact range just that it was a really tight range to show that there is no way we can fold flop or turn. What hands would you include/exclude (if you don't think it's tight enough?!)

if ya calling turn then ya calling riverJust wrong. We call turn because we have enough equity vs his range and have boat up/quad potential. But on the river him betting again narrows his range further. He may not bet JJ for value anymore and he probably just checks with KdTd as it still has a small amount of SD value. For calling river to be correct villain would need to be betting all of his JJ OTR and maybe 2/3 bluffs worse hands.

edit: FWIW I have a note that he 3b me bvb with A7o and then turned top pair into a bluff. So he is capable of more than just nut peddling! Although that might have been a once in a blue moon scenario.

but hey it's Sky init they only got the nuts not like anyone would bet river with 2 prs on SKY
amazing btn open, blind  flats and everyone holding effective nuts 100% of the time:D

I think every decent poker player can deduce that IDCU did call and was shown A10 cause he would not post it if villian had shown worse - bad form to post vill name tbh but anyways
