Cos it's a DYM and we've got an above average stack if we fold (just), we're behind prob 100% of the time, and are probably just about getting the right price on a call but ICM wise everyone else as the table is gaining except the 2 people that get it in here.

I know nothing about nlhe dyms
my only dym knowledge comes from hilo training from super nit TK
but even with that I cannot fold here
is a bit like middle phase of a sat
if you have the chips you still need to be taking +ve opportunies particularly as you will still have 10 bigs even if you miss.
and from an ICM perspective another 1590 chips at this stage will be quite beneficial

Problem is it's somewhat exploitable if we are folding here, since if we are then we're basically only getting it in with the nuts.

Also I don't know if we are behind 100% of the time. Opponent can show up with stuff like A9/K9 here, can have worse flush draws etc. We are never in terrible shape here and we're nearly always racing at the worst. In short I don't think we can ever fold here. If we call and lose it's still not the end of the world as we have enough chips to get back into it. If we win we put ourselves in a good position whereby we should easily make it to the final 4 and from then on have a better than 1 in 4 chance of cashing.

We're in the BB... pretty sure mucking pre would be bad unless you have a bad habit of going broke with bad hands in limped pots.

Agree with Lambert here, considering it's a DYM, easy fold - still 6 handed - above avg stack and 21BBs behind.

What do you realistically expect to be ahead of here - and how often - people tend not to shove light early doors in a DYM.

Ok if behind you may be able to hit a T a 7 or spade to win but that isn't guaranteed either.

Calling here is high variance - you will lose a lot of the time and if you win will still not be locked in for a cash, and a cash is all you can make in a DYM.

DYM mentality is all about survival - generally no need to risk your stack until down to 4 handed.

Don't love it, but am calling.  We're ahead more than sometimes and always have decent equity.  Just because it's a DYM it doesn't mean 'wait for nuts till 200/400 then be a shove monkey.'

Also Ivan is correct, we fold all of these sorts of holdings in these spots we become ridiculously exploitable.

Also as a general rule across all forms of Holdem Poker never ever ever lead/decide a flop in a limped pot.  It's even worse to do it with this type of holding.  Limped pots where we lead/decide to a shove generally turn into guesswork due to the lack of preflop information, and if the oppo has you guessing they have in my mind won, regardless of the hand outcome.
