My opponent in the semi asked if we could play £2 games. I was a bit dubious but its getting late so went along with it. At 1-1 we were joined in the chat by the finalist in waiting (boxter ) who identified the error of our ways. I agreeed that we need to play by the rules and switch to best of 7 £5 games but my opponent darryn said they were too expensive.

Just read Lambert rules and he states £5 matches at semi-final level. I thought it was for the players to decide. I was wrong.

Wish I was the finalist in waiting lol
Was gonna rail you and noticed you were playing £2 games. Thought I would help before you went too far. The dynamics of the game change for different levels. Risk £8 or risk £20.
My thoughts are the rules were made at the start of the comp so we all knew what is involved so each semi should be the same or the comp is not equal.
Yeah surely whatever stakes the player can naturally play there best HU game is more important in a HU championship than having them play on scared money? i understand the rules were put in place at the beggining but if the oppo has no problem with agreeing to lower the stakes surely it's ok.
just finished semi final i was 3-0 down and got so so lucky rivering a straight when all but out, had been outplayed up until then. Came back to win 4-3.
Well played everyone so far, and congrats to the 2 finalists

Darryn1973 and Boxster, you've both won an £11 free entry.... off the top of my head I can think of the Turbo Tuesday main event, the Wednesday Rebuy main event, and any of the millions of £11 BHs that run every night that you could pick from but there may be others. Can you both post up on here or PM me what tourney you want to play on what day and I'll get Blandy to register you. Probably need to gimme a couple of days notice ahead of the MTT for them to have time to see it and do it.

Sorry, it was my delay noy Sky's. Blandy said he'd get it all sorted that day and that was on 22nd April so I'm sure everyone should be regged as expected.
Gwolf, you still need to let me know what you wanna do with your £22 seat. I know there aren't many £22 MTTs on Sky so I checked with Dave when I sent over the other requests and he said it's fine if you want to play 2 x £11 MTTs instead. Either way just let me know.

It's a fun tournie
If someone is happier playing at £2 games, then why on earth could they not play £2 games, if both parties agree?
To my mind it makes no diference as long as it is a HU Sit and Go and both parties are happy with it.
cheers
