I thought I'd get in some live practice tonight, for the UKPC, so I played a £10 rebuy event at my local G. The standard was pretty shocking. Limps all round. Shoving forty big blinds for the early double up. That kind of thing. Early on I raised 3x pre with QQ and was called by 6 3 offsuit which turned a straight ("it's my favourite hand, so I had to call", he says...) You know the drill.
Anyway. about seventy runners. Six get paid.
I found pocket eights and shoved ten bigs... not really the best idea when the other guy flips over aces.
Out.
After seven hours.
