What i'm wondering is should a value bet be done knowing that if we get raised then we are certain to go behind but the benifit of it would be it can prevent them draws that have missed from actually making use fold using a bluff.
I dunno it's marginal for me, but I think in both cases I'd rather thin bet and be reraised over possibly being bluffed off. First hand I might even pay off given it's half pot bet. He raised pre and could well have AJ here. Not saying he does, but he could. I guess we are bluff catching, but blah, I just hate checki-folding rivers when I could well still be ahead.
