Your calcs are right and if i had ran at break even pace it 100% def wouldnt be worth me doing this but when i started playing these i thought that a score of around 6-8k would win the bronze tier so i was prepared to lose a good few hundred quid to get a few 1000 points headstart on the competion then play cash to get me to the score i needed.  However as i started noticing some of the names appearing on the bronze tier it became clear that 8k would def not win it and like i said on the other post there was still up until the 8th to opt in so i decided to just blast through the RRs and make sure i stayed ahead of the silver tier until after the opt in time had gone. As i type this i have 11300 points and have lost exactly £643 to get them so i must have ran pretty well in them cos a massive % of the total has came from RRs. If i won the lb at this point it would mean that i have made £207 off the promo plus £210+ rb along with the fact i am now only 8700 points away from the 25% bracket and have also got into prio and am able to play the main and mini prio tournies so as far as i am concerned it has been worth doing but like i said i have ran well in them. FWIW though i wont be doing it again cos they melt your brain mate and it just seemed like a good idea at the time :)

    So thats worked out pretty well for you then. My original comments where not a slant at you, but just based on pure mathematical theory. I dont know how many you have played exactly but as you have said if it worked out below EV the outcome could have been totally different. You just run golden!

    I guess you had an inflexion point of 8,500 in your head where it made sense to play them as it meant a very good chance of a profit to you. The second point I made about regs switching sites then coming back this month seems to have come into play for you.

    In my opinion sky should exclude priority players for 3 or even 6 months from promos aimed at recs but even then the reality is that there are ways of getting around this. At the end of the day this is business and the sites aim to survive and prosper, which means attract new players and get existing ones to up their volume.

    Why is it that you have the 3 leaderboards for differrent levels so that we are playing on an even level however the lowest level which i play at(bronze) where on average you earn between 100 and 2999 points per month that this leaderboard can have a chip leader with over 11000 points and nobody will get near him. surely this should not be allowed he should be in silver or gold with that amount of points i am sure i am not the only one who thinks this is very unfair and just goes to show that these leaderboards are not aimed so we all have a chance, very unfair and just helps to push more pepole away from this site.

    Anyone coulda had the points ive got if they were prepared to pay about £600 to get them. I knew when promo started that i was gonna lose hundreds of pounds to get to where i am now but was happy to do that knowing that 1st or 2nd place in the promo would pay for my loss and i would then have all the rewards owed to me in rb and then be on a higher bracket in the rewards table so that i could then play cash tables for the next 2 weeks and have a nice payout at the end of it. Also to answer a question what Lambert asked a few days ago, the reason the bronze tier had more than the silver tier for the first week of this promo is because i wanted to make certain that any of the guys who opted into the promo up until the 8th found the silver a more appealing tier to enter being less points and more cash etc and hopefully make the bronze have an easier run in during the double points for cash tables promo this week. I should just add that this promo was all about making points and there were no rules about how to do it and i am far from the only one who is doing this, remember it takes someone else to join these things before the game starts and loads of the top scorers on the lbs are playing these aswell FWIW i wont be doing this for the 2nd part of this promo cos like i said i will be playing the cash tables and am sick of the sight of RRs :) .

    Before you direct this at me you should take a close look at alot of the names on the bronze lb because alot of those players joined that tier for the same reason as me thinking it would be the easiest to win and there are names on there that play the highest stakes on the site.

    You make it sound like everyone has to play the same volume every month.  In the 2 months this year I made priority one month and 600 points the next and as a result I have ended up in the bronze leaderboard.  This isn't Sky's fault and there is nothing wrong with the promo...it just reflects that as the vast majority of the players here are recreational players there are going to be times when they can play and times when they can't.

    Arazi has clearly decided to up his volume this month which is exactly what a leaderboard is designed for.  Fair play to him.  If you had done the same surely your chances would have been better.  People need to stop expecting to pick up money in promos without putting some effort in and raising their game/volume.

    I for one applaud arazi, saw a gap in the market and took it, and everyone has the chance to do the same.Whichever way u get the points still have to put the volume in, great promo which everyone has a chance of some FREE CASH.

    As I write, the gold and silver boards are now showing that you have to be placed in the top 25 positions to receive a reward. Somebody please tell me that this is a temporary glitch.

    I think the concept is good, the only thing should have been the last three months should have been taken into account and averaged. 

    As for arazi. Well done on finding a way to win. The only thing I think Is unfair is previous priority players being able to play the lower leaderboards as they are BR for higher stakes. 

    Personally I have put in more volume, played 100% at a higher level and am on target for my highest ever monthly tally. A lot of effort that will only gain me £10 (or 1 buy in for 10nl). I am sure this is the same for many. The point of this is had the playing field been a bit more level then the leaderboard would be a lot closer, more people would feel they had a chance and therefore tried even harder to move up a few places.

    Who knows, all sorts of promotional schemes pop up, in the future we may see a sng orientated promo.  Or, the same rewards given for two leaderboards, cash and sng.

    Forgot about the promo and ended my 6 hour session at midnight.

    Luckily stood on enough tables to get enough points to creep into a £50 slot. (unintentionally)

    600 missing though which must've been on the tables where I (unintentionally) stood after midnight.

    These 600 wouldn't have gotten me above the £50 slots, but will give me a head start on the next leaderboard?

    If so that's worked out very well, I couldn't have done that even if I'd tried! I'd have stood on all before midnight to try and make sure of 50 quid.

    Is it just exactly the same as before?

    i would love sky to give sitandgo players the double points for the 4 days they run the promotion on cheltenham week as they did with cash players, very hard to compete with these cash players as it is but to give them another advantage is not exactly a level playing field.ive grinded my a4se off for 2 weeks only to see the bronze leaderboard taken up by high stack cash players helped by double points grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    I have probably played less than 10hrs cash cause I don't like it, the whole promotion and im still only less than 1k behind the front runners who r playing 12 to 15 tables with double points.
