Did I mess-up good Hole-Cards?

edited March 2014 in The Poker Clinic

Hi Guys,

I was betting against a player when I had started with good Hole-Cards. However a large bet by my opponent forces me to fold my hand, when I had already committed a large sum of money to the pot. This is something I always seem to get trapped by and something I remember happening to me a lot when I first started playing poker...

What is your advice, based on what occurred here:-?
PS I've changed names to protect original users, leaving only my own...F# stands for somebody who folded, and I have used "VILLAIN" as the name of my opponent.

Can't see stack sizes but never limp. If we have around 10-20xBB then I'd just open fold. More than 20xBB I might open but it would be a Minraise to 300.

Again hard without seeing stack size but hard not to at least call the flop. Probably fold turn
