Played outside my Bankroll

Played outside my bankroll tonight, only had £66, been playing sng's and mtt's upto £5.50, was gonig to play the 8.15 deepstack but decided what the heck I'll play the 8.00pm double stack.

Was doing ok, in around 90th place with 300 left, when the following 2 hands happened

Normally loosing a couple of hands on the river like that would annoy me but id shrug my shoulders and get on with it, but it seems to have hurt me more this time, is it becuase i was playing outside my bankroll? Was me calling the ai me tilting? im wnating to register for another tourny I just know im going to donk my chips off tho so think ill go watch the darts for a bit.

ul mate.with regards to bankroll?that is for the pros my friend.but always always remember only play with what you can afford to lose.i hope you win some back.all the best debs xx

yes very  unlucky .. but we all get the PAIN that is bad beats .. as Ive said before this game is about confidence, try not to let it play on your mind ... forget  it as soon as possible and look to your next win .. glk  mate

You are right - when you play outside (above) your Bankroll, the Beats do hurt. If you play within it, you barely notice the bad beats.

Most of the moany-woany Threads are due to exactly that - the game is a real brute when you play outside of your financial comfort zone.

Play smaller & enjoy it more.

First hand - don't limp.  only limp in MTTs very early on or to trap.  Never ever to limp call, certainly not with KQo to someone who is shallow stacked.

Second hand - raise a lot more.

UL tho especially the first one where you got the monies in so good

Scotty is right about the KQ - you were way too shallow to limp there. Bet pre or Fold.

But that's not the point - the point is, those errors/beats hurt so much more when you are playing too big.

Why not play the satellites into the big games.  I am still on the low limit games and plodding along but nothing hurts too much, i just do not like losing.

Taken a few hundred out of my account which if I had left in there could have moved up a few levels down to choice really.

There is some good advice on the forum.

without being to rude you didnt play the hand to well and it wasnt a bad beat really

nothing wrong with taking a shot though bankroll management is all well and good if your a full time/serious player but if your not take the occasional shot aslong as you play ur usual game/you think your good enough
