Problem in using xbox controller for PC games

Watched about 10 vids on Youtube. I,ve got the adapter as its wireless. It downloads the drivers and says its working fine but can only get into Fifa and Battlefield on Keyboard and mouse. In fact any game from Origin or Steam

Any help appreciated

    Hmm, firstly I would go here : http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Your-Xbox-360-Controller-for-Windows

    Method 1 - Step 4 is a good test if its recognised properly by your PC. (or /mathod 3 - step 1, if wireless one - slighly different)

    Though from your post I asume it is - EA games that are also on XBOX should now work straightaway with your controller.

    If they're not the only thing I can now think of is its a setting in the "Steam interface" thats not selected thats stopping it from working. Unfortunately, I haven't got steam so can't help more - but have a play about in the Steam options.
