Nah keeping the ball will be the key in Brazil.

Watched 6 Everton games this season and Baines has been absolutely terrible defensively in everyone. Playing everybody onside all day every day , getting beat easily and not getting close enough to stop crosses.
yes he scored lots of goals (mainly pens) and yes he can deliver a good set piece (but so can half the England team). Baffles me how the country has gone Baines mad.
Cole, been injured and then left out by Mourinho. Turns up for a champions league semi, bosses it. Turns up to try and save the title race, bosses it. Ashley Cole is world class and kept even the best (c.ronaldo) in his back pocket.
Plus teh fact him and Cahill play club football together shows they have a massive understanding, will communicate and cover each other etc..
Then we have Shaw - Class all season, In team of the year (ahead of baines) , impressed on England debut.
Baines shouldn't even go to Brazil. If he starts, we have no chance.
ashley cole hadnt kicked a ball for months when i picked my team, luke shaws a class player and been the best left back this season but no where near experienced enough to start in a vital first world cup game, thats very harsh on baines what u have said, hes been a model of consitancy for years now, watching 6 everton games and you think ur qualified to say he shouldnt be on the plane, i have 2 good mates who are season ticket holders at goodison park who would strongly disagree.
Watched 6 full games where i can watch him off the ball etc... watched highlights from every game.
Theres no dout hes a good player, and hes been extremely unlucky to have a world class left back and a fantastic young talent in the same position.
For other countries he would be fine. But if we are going compete we are going to have to defend for our lives like when Chelsea won the champions league. Ashley Cole is the man. If we want to build for the future, Shaw is the man.
Even without the future in mind, Shaw is a better defender. In fact a better player overall if you go by the team of the year votes, which are obviously voted by players who play with and importantly against them.(not people who sit in the stands)
Can gurantee every right winger voted for Shaw.

Ashley Cole has. England arn't going to win the world cup by out scoring opponents. Attacking full backs are great, but if England are to do well, they'll need clean sheets.
