They missed a golden chance last year to get the ideal man Mouriniho and its now weather they will fork our the £10 million or so Chelsea will want to release him.

martin oneill obviously. hes a good manager but he dosent stand a cat in hells chance of getting the man utd job, hes a good manager but hell never get a look in for this job and righlty so. winning 2 league cups in england with leicester and a load of scottish trophys with celtic is not the type of c.v id be looking for if i was the owner of man utd but then again they employed david moyes so anythings possible haha.

Martin O'Neil has no kahoonas. Cant take the pressure and is very much an impact short term manager.
I know its going back a long time but at Leicester and Villa he had his favourite players and anyone who spoke out of turn automatically got frozen out.
I personally cant think of any top manager who would go to United based on the fact their is no European football nest season..Ok mabe Europa League. How can the new manager attract Top Class players without the g/tee of champions leage football. In my opinion they need to totally rebuild and gradually re-build over the next 2-3 seasons with a manager who WILL be given time.
By the way Steve Mclaren aint interested as he is leading us to the promised land.

back in the day yes his name was mentioned. he hasnt really progreesed as a manager though has he since his leicester days, i mean he done well in scotland but me and you could win trophys with celtic in that joke league.
i just feel after whats gone in with moyes united will only appoint somebody of the very highest level who has a proven track record of winning trophys.

I feel I have to defend the league here being from Scotland and all but understand your point as outwith Celtic at the moment and when Rangers were still in the league it is only ever at best a two horse race up here . I am from Aberdeen so remember the good old days when it was more open and a few teams could win the league before the Souness /Murray revolution at Rangers which turned the league up here in to a joke .
Back to topic in hand though totally agree that it will be a high profile manager that will take over , O'Neil was mentioned years ago but not a candidate now . My money would go on LVG if I had to bet .
Winner as a player, World class. Hasn't won anything major as a manager but has proven he knows what he's doing.
Will know how to handle big names/egos.
Plays great football. Worked wonders with Swansea. Was always going to struggle this season once they made Europe with the size of his squad. They did pretty well in Europe too, held their own against the likes of Valencia and Napoli.
Prem experience.
After the obvious candidates he's the best of the rest.
I wouldn't be disappointed to see him appointed if I was a United fan, with Gary Neville as his number 2.
What would utd fans make of Pochettino? Also surprised there hasnt been any talk of them trying to lure Rodgers from liverpool. Posted by jdsallstar
i wouldnt like pochettiono to be honest, hes still a novice really in terms of management experience, hes won nothing in the game a bit like the previous dope, hes got southampton playing good football and doing well but does that really warrant consideration for the biggest job in britain?

I know what you mean but i'm not sure I'd really be too keen on any of the others. I see most of them struggling tbh.
Pochettino at least has prem experience. I think if I was utd fan I'd want him.

LVG for me, the mans record is unreal and is brilliant at bringing youth threw, dosent stand for big egos either
seriously hope LVG is the man, hope we dont appoint somebody like brendan rodgers who has no plan b at the highest level, jose bent him over the other week at anfield.
