It wasn't so much that you were too tight than you were far too passive.  Kings play awful in a multi-way pot.  You had to raise preflop to isolate.  Bump it up to 600-700 and take on one/two people.

Post flop you're more worried about sets than the flush simply down to the math of chances to draw a set to chances of flopping a flush.  You could of put out a feeler raise to see who had what, you would then have to make a decision when the QQ goes all in if they were ahead or drawing to the flush (which QQ would have been).  But you give yourself this headache by not attacking preflop.

Amazed that they both called the flop, if they raise the flop, theres your decision! - And maybe you call maybe you fold. Having bet, n recieved 2 callers, thats pretty much the perfect turn card for your hand.

Im betting out on the turn -BIGGGGGG

Just looked bak at the hand, how can they both just flat the flop??? Especially the queens...3rd nut draw and big OP to the board....he flats pre as well??

    Such weak tourny play.

    DOHH

    thanks guys.

looking back could of really put out a big bet on the turn but having 3 callers pre-flop and then two flat callers post-flop, is my 'one pair' really still good???  and if i had raised maybe 2 or 3 bb more pre-flop tommy, are the pocket queens and nine's still gonna come along anyway??

and 'numberwan' was a very busy player and was very wary of his range of hands

3 x big Blind pre flop

    pot size bet post flop

I'm with you on this one Rick, two of them called your bets, then a 1400 bet after the turn,  One of them has a flush, I'm out of there

I suppose you could have looked at increasing the size of your post flop bet, but other than that I think I would have played it the same way.     But then I am rubbish

i dont normally post, but hey, i feel like giving some advice. I am a cash game noob, but can play tournies when in the mood, so feel free to argue back if u dont agree ;)

Firstly i dont agree with the guy who said raise it to 600 pre. The blinds are 25 50. He has kings - wants some action. that would not get any action.

Not knowing the players makes it a lot harder, but i think a raise between 3-5bb is good. if u know someone will call 600 then bet it, i dount anyone would.

As for flop, bet it, see where you are.  You got no heart, and board is very scary so think after one bet shut down if any heat. I get rid if anyone bets turn as u did.

I think you played the hand well and shouldnt be so end result orientated when u see what they have. one would speculate that you would normally be behind on that board. I say u played it well.

HI Rick I'm a cash game player mainly but have a bit of tournament experience and usually do well in them.

Your preflop raise here is fine, I don't mind your c-bet here either 8-3-7 of hearts connects with so many hands that flat our preflop raise though so continue with caution hands like - 87, 88, 77, 33.. hands that have flopped a flush etc. On the turn its a pretty easy check fold as all these hands that beat us bet the turn to price out other flush draws and a pair with the ace of hearts, we have invested 15bbs its the 1st blind level we have 1 pair and we don't have the king of hearts.
When we fold we still have 110bbs and there will be much easier spots to pick up chips with this stack, in the later stages of the tournament.
