edited April 2014 in The Poker Clinic
Just interested to see what people would do here following the action happening on the flop? Shippys got a lot behind so this is efectively a move for the rest of your money...

Saying i should fold pre doesnt count ;)

    Fold pre :p

But anyway lol... Flop bet is fine, think we can maybe fold to the Clickback cos he's done it multiway against a decent sized cbet and a call, imo this isn't ever gonna be a draw or 1pr hand, think we can narrow him down to pretty much 33/99/TT. Even big draws like 45/78/79 of clubs will want some FE.

Dunno I prob sigh call the Clickback, but deffo easy fold when they shove imo

Not done the math but what do we need like 30-35% equity?

If were including all combos of sets, NFD's, 63s and some other club combos like 45, 78, 79, K10, Q10 it's closish I'm guessing. Probably still a fold... Maybe that's too many combos idk.

Suppose this is what you get for opening 106s UTG :)

Are you always min raising UTG? Don't mind the raise to mix it up but has to be 3x surely. Anyway, easy fold on the flop. We could be practically drawing dead, crushed, drawing thin or having to fade a lot of outs. So either way, not good!

Lambo your ranges are ridic tight. For one thing if someone is min-r a T63 flop on a board that wet that has a bet and a call I don't put them on a set. They're just inviting calls from draws. I see this play more frequently either with a slow played overpair or a KT/AT hand that thinks they're ahead but doesn't want to bloat the pot too much so makes it only a small raise. Or with a big draw that just wants to build the pot. Plus we block top set and middle set anyway and if we're up against 3's we still have a few outs.

Secondly the player that went all in only flat the flop initially. I've also never seen the name before so would assume a rec and a wide range here that proabbly includes a fair amount of draws that decided to GII once the flop was raised. Once shippy flats the shove too though I agree we are in a tough spot. I mean how likely is it that he's trapping with a set now? I just really don't think his flop min-r screams a set and I think I prob just GII.

Tbf Ivan, OP should have removed the names cos I've based my opinion on that. If the OP can show me a result where Shippy doesn't have 33/66/TT I'll be astounded.
