Taking cash off a table

edited May 2014 in Poker Chat
Just seen a player sit out for an hour and his stack reduced from around £90 to the table max buy in (£20) and then he resumed play. I've never seen this on another site and even when returning to a table you have to bring the stack you left with back, let alone just sitting out. Am I missing something?

This seems fine.  I believe Sky have a policy of 30 minutes before you can sit back in on the same table with a reduced BI, otherwise you have to sit with what you left with.

Most other sites that I know have similar policies, althought I think the time limits differ here and there.

Seems okay.  If it were a live cash game the rule in most casinos is usually between 1.5-2hrs.

It all seems perfectly standard to me, the rules are much the same (with varying timings) on most Online poker sites.

Welcome to the Community though Mr P4DDY, are you new to the site or been here a while?

    Either way, enjoy.

Thanks for the responses. I'm still a bit surprised. I play a lot of live cash and I can say with confidence that two hours sat out would forfeit a seat and coming back after an hour or so and trying to take cash off the table and continue playing would be a definite no no. But hey ho, thanks for clearing that up.

I'm new to Sky and finding it a lot of fun so far.
