Whenever you have KK and an A hits the flop you're in one of those miles ahead/miles behind situations. If the villain has the ace you're in a world of pain, if not you can play as if you have the goods.

In the situation presented, I would muck those kings very quickly. I wouldn't need to think about it. I find that a lot of players in BHs play any ace, so even if the villain doesn't have it he must be fearful that you have and won't get his chips in light.

PS: I have bowled out of literally hundreds of tournaments thinking that 'no way he would play it that way if he had it' so what do I know?

Looking at how the mtt turned out I'm happy with how it played I eneded up cashing top 20 with 5 heads and the other 2 didn't
least I have some info on the players and my reads were nearly right

    wowzas!

pretty rare to see those 2 holdings at showdown,

def warrants a note or 2 for future reference i'd say

Amazed to see that! But solid fold well done. I would expect to see a Ax ands holding like a set or massive draw to call. Horrible to do but correct fold in long run well done!

If it was not an all on an just a probe bet sized I would be call off the flop. Your check shows weakness, so can be good way to bluff catch.

As stated earlier, you was either miles ahead or way behind. You will go far if new to poker and folding KK all ready. Took me at least a year to finally find the fold button with that hand :)

With stack sizes as they are we can't just flat a 'normal' sized bet - SPR is a little over 1 on the flop so we have to decide then and there if we want to go with our hand.

Second point to note is because SPR is so small people will have a tendency to get it in much wider and especially so if they are loose anyway. This is because they don't need to generate a fold that often for it to be v profitable. Ofc this is a situation where you're quite a bit ahead or massively behind but then in Holdem we face these situations all the time. We need to try and ignore that though and just focus on their range and how many hands they are likely to get it in with.

Below is just a v quick range I plugged into PPT. Here we only have 21.25% equity and both ranges are pretty wide and based on our assumptions of what they showed up with. For calling to be BE we need 26.4% equity; therefore if we played this hand again vs the same players with added knowledge of how wide they will be shoving, it would still be correct to fold. However, were we just facing villain 1's shove and the other villain folded then our hand would then turn into a call. We would need around 33% for calling to be BE and against the same range for just 1 player we have 40.8%.
