WSOP42 - $5,000 PLO 6 handed - 452 entrants We have a winner, and unfortunately it's neither of the GB players who made Day 3. Michael Drummond entered the event with only 4 cashes recorded, all at WSOP/WSOPE events with a quarter final showing in the 2012 Heads-up event as his best ever. That has been dwarfed by the $541K and the bracelet he has won for winning Event 42.
Recovering from being the short stack with 10 left, he entered heads up play with Darius Stoddart with a 3:1 chip lead and finished Stoddart off in only 12 hands.
Kory Kilpatrick finished 3rd, Phil Laak 6th, Richard Ashby was the final table bubble boy and Demis Hassabis ended up 11th.
WSOP43 - $1,500 Limit Hold'em - 657 entrants Dan Kelly pushed home his large overnight lead in the Limit Hold'em tournament to collect his second bracelet to add to the $25K 6-max he won back in 2010.
Kelly beat Yegor Tsurikov heads-up, and if we were awarding medals for poker, Brandon Shack-Harris would now have a complete set as he finished 3rd to add to his previous 1st & 2nd earlier in the month.
Two multiple bracelet holders, Jeff Lisandro and David Chiu went out early on Day 3 in 7th & 6th places respectively.
WSOP44 - $1,500 NLH - 1914 entrants Now to the interesting one!
15 players bagged up chips at the end of Day 2, and Sky Poker's very own Scotty 77, Ryan Spittles is amongst them.
He lies 11th overnight, with fellow British players Roberto Romanello & Alex Zeligman just ahead and just behind respectively.
Brandon Ageloff has the chip lead ahead of Ray Foley, and start of day chip leader Jason Johnson is in 3rd. If the pattern for previous events is followed, they will combine to an unofficial Final Table at 10 players on the feature table, with commentary from David Tuchman but no hole cards and graphics, and then a full service (on a 30 minute or so delay) when the official 9-handed Final Table is reached.
Other UK players who cashed - Pablo Campo (38th, $9457), Max Silver (76th, $5012), David Payne 86th ($4392), Sky Poker player Samuel Gilbert (89th, $4392), Seb Saffari 99th ($3927), Andrew Hills & Ellie Biessek ($3514 each), and Alex Goulder & David Burns ($3178 each)
1914 players paying $1,500 each has meant a prize pool of nearly $2.6 with the top spot paying $478K and of course a certain piece of jewellry to go along with the cash.
WSOP45 - $1,000 NLH - 1841 entrants A contrast between the two events starting today, the PPC having the biggest buyin (other than the Big One For One Drop) of the series, and this one of the lowest entry fee events.
After 1 Day the money bubble has been well and truly breached with Nicholas Craze and Florian Dohnert (about whom I can find nothing) already on the cash list with Union Flags beside their names.
Timothy Alofs & Antony Hallam are best for the UK so far, being inside the Top 40 and they will be joined for Day 2 by Sunny Chattha, Tom Arrington, Tim Davie (IH8Palace I believe) and from outside these shores Ari Engel, Hoyt Corkins, Max Pescatori, Allyn Jaffrey Shulman & Faraz Jaka)
Chip leaders I hear you ask? Well it's Jonathon Bodden from Miami who leads, ahead of local Loren Klein and third placed Lily Kiletto, from Kew Gardens! That's Kew Gardens, New York obviously!
WSOP46 - $50,000 Poker Player's Championship - 85 entrants so far. The absence of really big names in the update for Event 45 is explained by the parallel running of this event, the one most of the Pros really want to win.
Of course, the Chip Reese trophy crossed to this side of the Atlantic 12 months ago with Matthew Ashton winning it, and he's back to defend his crown (well bracelet really)
Matt Glantz is one of a number of players who has made the FT of this event twice (no one has managed 3) and he's off to a good start as Day 1 chip leader.
Only 5 players have gone out with the first to fall being Vanessa Selbst, the only others to go being 2013 WSOPE ME winner Sergii Baranov, Michael Glick, Dan Shack & Phil Galfond.
Several British players paid the $50K to play and Richard Ashby, fresh from a deep run in event 42 lies 3rd, Ashton is 7th, Talal Shakerchi 17th, Philip Sternheimer 37th, Stephen Chidwick 47th and Elior Sion 52nd
Virtually all the big name players are still there shooting away, and even if they aren't yet, late reg doesn't close until the end of the second level on Day 2 so they might still appear tomorrow. The German contingent is surprisingly small, only George Danzer of their big names is in yet, so no Gruissem, Schemion, Altergott, Reinkemeier etc, perhaps none of then fancy playing anything other than NLH.

If he makes the final table, I hope he's got one of his rail organised to be watching the live stream rather than the actual game as he will be able to gather a load of information from some experienced player watching the stream, picking up on how players bluff, opening ranges, 3 bet frequencies etc and pass this on to Ryan at the breaks.
I've just heard an interview with Dutch Boyd basically saying such information from people he had watching the live stream was so vital to his bracelet win that he probably wouldn't have won the event without it.
isn't Hoyt Corkins the gentleman with the big stetson and aviator glasses? I seem to remember him from the wpt winning a few events. Posted by pompeynic
He certainly wears a cowboy hat most of the time, don't know about the brand of glasses!
He has 2 WPT titles and 2 WSOP Bracelets (the two bracelets were won 15 years apart)
Can't do the link as the WSOP are a competing online poker product (well not directly competing but they are in the same line of business.)
Just do a simple Google search - "WSOP 2014 live stream" or something similar should bring you what you want. It will still show "No live streams available" at the moment though.

Yes I tried that and got the "No live streams available". Is this because it hasn't been started that long?? Cheers, I'm not usually a "live streamer" so unsure of how these things work lol
Amazing work on the thread btw, it is the first thing I read each evening. Much appreciated.

The live stream won't start until they are down to an "unofficial final table" of 10 when they move to the ESPN Main Stage. It will then have commentary but no hole cards and graphics until they reach the final table proper of 9 when hole cards and chip stack graphics etc. will work. All on a 30 minute or so delay of course.

Best of luck scotty, what a machine that guy is! Some year he's having so far!
Never mind how much he has locked up, this is what he is aiming for......!
All the best

I'm guessing the player who was crippled and is now back in it is Vinny Pahuja who made a final table a week or so ago.
14. Alexander Zeligman
13. Roberto Romanello (so no Triple Crown for now at least)
12. Vinny Pahuja
Current pay level $27,737
They should now merge for the unofficial FT and move to the big stage, hopefully the live stream will then kick in.
Go on Ryan!
