AKs OTB vs a simular size chipstack 3bet or call?
my readings on him so far were that he wasn't doing any limping the only times he had raised were when he has hands that are expected he did a donk bet earlier on a flop Jc 3s 2h when it was a 4 way pot , when the others then folded he choose to show his 99. so generally i'm thinking he is still a tight playing style at the minute, which brings me onto the question
as my chip stack is in good condition, their is no short stacks and as i'm OTB, can i just call AKs or was it always best to raise?

was quite a simple answer and I didn't expect much.
the main reason I posted it was because of the stack sizes.
the sense was when he went all in I was thinking myself that i will be going on to see the flop in a flip.
i expected to loose this anyway if i din't hit my K or A.
Good comments from the guys, I would add that this type of situation depends on our opponent. Some guys will stack off on ace high/king high boards and against these opponents I love a flat. Others wont give credit to a button 3bet so against these I am 3betting all day long.
Regarding the bolded bit, I don't know whether you are missing a trick to put pressure on opponents as it seems like your waiting for things to happen (which can be fine on certain tables) but maybe you aren't getting yourself in the best position to build that big stack for the later stages.
Might just be the way you have worded it but something worth thinking about.
