FTAO Sky - Severe Issues uploading hands from Hand History

For weeks, without success  I have been trying to copy and paste various hands from my hand history into the poker clinic and poker chat sections of the forum.

The results I get are either truncated text, texts which displays correctly in columns but with no references to whatever cards being held except hyper-links which go-on for like forever...Or Plain text without any symbols at all...

I have tried to read the sticky at the top of the poker clinic thread, but the last page of this appears locked as all that comes up is a black background with somebody's poker hand in the middle left of the screen - there IS a close box, but alas clicking this does nothing, and all I can do to navigate around is to close the tab/or browser down.

It seems to me that NOBODY has posted anywhere the actual correct way of how to select, copy and paste a hand so that it displays correctly using the results that alot of members seem to achieve without any problems.

The only way I MYSELF can get a hand to post in half-a-readble format is to copy & paste it into my spreadsheet software (MS Excel) and even then I have to edit it to include whatever suit it was of the cards that were involved in the hand.

I am currently using Google Chrome (and sometimes "Opera Browser) on an ageing Windows Vista Laptop, so the equipment I have access to is Far from Ideal, but I should be able to navigate and use websites without any trouble.

Could somebody PLEASE give me a defined set of steps on how I can correctly upload hands, so that when I do ask for advice from fellow sky members, and they ask to see the hand I am talking about, I can share it with them without any of the unecessary troubles I am currently experiencing.

  Hi Gary, you cannot upload HH from chrome, use internet explorer and you will have no probs m8.

This isn't strictly true because I can only use Chrome on my laptop yet have managed to post HH's that work fine in the clinic. However, any time I try and post one in poker chat on my diary it never seems to work.

Hey gary. I think the uploading of hand histories is an absolute joke and should be made A LOT simpler. But anyway.....

I always copy and paste from the I.E but that still doesn't guarantee it will work. I always start from the top left but DONT include the hand history and number I start from the "player" heading on the little table.Then I drag it down to the bottom right and hover on the very last piece of text ( final pot size I think) right click copy and paste. Hope this helps.

I do the opposite to Shauny....in firefox find the HH
Highlight from the bottom right balance up to top left player (NOT the HH line)
Copy and paste.
It has NEVER posted wrong

I've gone over to using fire-fox just specifically for my s/poker endevours. I tried 'testing' out a post last night on my diary. What initially "threw me" was when you paste it in, none of the colums appear and neither do the card icons, which display intially as Dots, but upon completing the post, by pressing the "post" button it magically all uploads fine.

I have IE8 installed on my aicient vista laptop, and TBF I have noticed it does the same thing, but as I initially saw the dots and lack of formatting, I wrote it off as not functioning correctly, without ever trialling submitting a post.

The guidance given by Mrsduck and Shauny was exactly the sort of feedback/support I've been chasing for, but alas have yet to find it on the sticky post, which unfortunately the last tab/page has been rendered unviewable.. (Drat, I meant to mention that also in my post into the live show last night!)

My problem here, is when I upload the hand I can not type anything else below. The box appears so I can resize it and the hand u can scroll on my post. If u dont understand have a look at my diary and you will see what I mean.

After the hand is up  I can no longer  type anymore. 

Anyone help with this one?????

Press return a few times and then go back up before you paste it...works for me!
