Good afternoon Mrs Fowler, Mr Thew and Mr Marenholz.
Great to see you are better Mrs Fowler, viewing figures plummeted with too much Mr Orford.
Can you thank Mr Thew for me , for taking the time to participate  in the £2.20 @2.20 DEEPSTACK, and wish him luck in Vegas.
And also would you be able to ask Mr Marenholz if he could spare the time to play the £2.20 @2.20 DEEPSTACK.

    Morning folks,

    I have returned from the world of duvets and dvds, which although sounds nice, beyond 3 or 4 days it's not!!  Glad to be back to life :) Thanks for your well wishes :)  Hope none of you have the lurgy at the moment, and are going to be joining us for 5 hours of poker tonight live on the show???  We have Julian Thew, friend of the show and Karl Marenholz, so 3 amazing brains to pick tonight, yes that's righ I said 3!

    Apparantly something to do with football... the World Cup starts today!  Yay!  (no faked enthusiasm there)


    So let's have a World Cup of poker themed competition tonight.


    Pick any nation and tell us 4 poker players from that nation that would be in you 'world cup squad', who would manage them and why!????  

    eg. USA, Ivey, Dwan, Selbst and Hellmuth managed by Doyle Brunson.


    Winner will get a UKPC Semi-final seat for Friday Night.

    My world cup team would be from Uzbekistan.  Flopvnutz, Freesfullovtoos, Bustagain and Ihitmydrawz.  All world class, if relatively unknown players.  For a manager I would have to pick Mike Bassett.  What a legend.

    Keep taking the antibiotics and those crusty bits should sort themselves out in a few weeks. Try not to scratch. Now get yourself nice and comfy for the evening. People, can we get Anna a blanket and pillow? 

    Orford suggested you were 'up the duff'. Are we going to be seeing any li'l Anna's running about in the near future? Very exciting. :D

    Good evening Bowser, Marigolds and Yoyo. (You can thank Stu Rutter for the Bowser nickname. I like it)


    My World Cup team would be the Germans, ja? 


    First pick would obviously be Giant811 - Ulrich. Very tight player... no, I mean it. He's very tight. But one of the nicest guys you could meet. He's also quite tall. Quite the coincidence, given his poker alias.

    Second would be a chap by the name of Sascha Cornils. If you're not familiar with him, he's responsible for the most hilarious slowroll in poker history with Aces in the actual World Cup of Poker against Canada in 2010. I'm sure the chaps in the studio can fill in the details. It was... amazing. I might be a tad evil, but I found it so funny. :-D

    Third would be Sandra Naujoks. She has won an EPT and she's quite perdy. It's the eyes that get you. 

    Fourth - Me. I'm not German, but it's my team and I get to pick. So nerr!


    Have a great show. I will be watching the football with some friends - That's an "I have friends" brag - I will be recording you, though.

    I'd probably pick Germany too, but my team would be:

    1) Ole Schemion. Can't seen to do much wrong on the EPT at the moment

    2) Philip Gruissem. Super High Roller specialist. If he goes to Vegas for the One Drop he'll probably be the favourite to win it.

    3) & 4) Other than the USA, only Germany have managed to win more than one bracelet so far this year, so my team will be made up of the 2014 bracelet winners - Dominik Nitsche & George Danzer.

    As for a team manager, to take the spotlight off the players and to let them get on with the job, it's got to be Boris Becker.


    I'd fancy that team even against the best that the US or UK have to offer.

    evening all,

    question for the panel,

    I enjoy playing the mastercash hours, for hands and requests, I normally play 2 tables of 20nl,
    I sat at one tonight and it was me and another and I lost a buy in very quickly... I noticed heads up  is a very weak point in my game ,

    went too a 40nl table instead to play one table instead of two but with the same money and made my buy in back over the hour, I started in February with cash at the 4nl level and progressed to 20nl so I am improving I feel   but.....
     
    I'm comfortable playing at a 6max table but heads up seem pretty difficult for me any advice on how I should approach heads up cash.

    1) Sam Trickett - arguably one of best english players going.
    2) Julian Thew - one of best on sky poker.
    3) Liv Boeree - every team needs a dominant female!
    4) Dave Ulliot - every team needs a devil ... and a fish.

    You may not agree but you asked. I decided this person would call with any set ( I had top set) he would call with any 2 pair (I had a set), he would call with any King with a pair( I stall have a set) he would call with any J ( well I have lots of outs)
