DTD

edited June 2014 in Poker Chat
Anyone know what going on with DTD? I had an account there until a few days ago but closed it cus I'm not sure what there at...... a week or so ago they were off line for a day for upgrades, when they came back online I couldn't login and got the usual reset your password notice....

couldn't be bothered doing that at the time so left it.... later that day I got email from Genting poker quoting my login details for DTD..... I emailed DTD asking them how come this other company had my login details, I got confirmation from them that they had received my email but they didn't answer my question, 5 times I have mailed them each time getting confirmation but they have avoided answering my question

how did someone else get my account login detaits for dtd?

have they been taken over or hacked who knows...... I closed my account with them anyway but I'm curious what's the story anyone know?

Genting poker are apparently a Malaysian casino chain.....

apologise for asking on skys forum but they do obviously have an association with DTD

hi, be very careful it sounds like a standard email scam.  i saw one similar on monday that said use this new account number and click on a link to remind me on the password.

do not click on the links.  ignore it.

if you had an account simply acess it normally and not by using their email.

thing was aussie the email from genting quoted my login details for dtd which is a number obviously unique to me, so how did they get hold of it?

just wondered as dtd and genting are both in the casino business if dtd has actually been taken over.... or that genting already own them...

yes, i understand.  but supposing there is a trojan horse thingy on your pc that has located your account number, the only thing they need is your password.  the easiest way is to ask you to click on a link to key it in.

it might all be fine, but it sounds exactly like a scam.

and dtd or genting soundn't be sending out such emails anyway.

    Hi

DTD have asked me to post the following

    "

Dusk Till Dawn are a separate company to Genting Poker, however we share an online partnership on the iPoker network and we are both licenced in Alderney.

We recently moved to a new back end system to help make some improvements to the software and help develop new facilities such as iPad and iPhone poker software and are having some teething issues. The emails were actually sent by us, but the system branded some of them Genting in error and we only found out about the wrong branding after the second batch had been sent as it hadn’t affected all players.

Your details are safe and are not given to 3rd parties and this was not a spam email, the emails are entirely safe and from Dusk Till Dawn.

Regarding your email to online support please forward your automated response (with a LTK ticket number to nicola@dtdpoker.com and she will look into why you haven't received a reply)."

    Hi Easy,

    Just to reiterate SPT's reply.

Yes, Genting are Malayasian-based, but in fact they are truly global, with over 55,000 employees across the world.....

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genting_Group

I don't have the right to vouch for them (or anyone else) but they are a Company of excellent repute.

Effectively, DTD Online is a "skin" of Genting Online. As such, I would imagine they run the "cage" for DTD Online, which would explain why they have your log-in details. As to how they got confused with the Branding, you must ask Nicola that.

Sky Poker do have an association with DTD Live, (the land-based Poker Club in Nottingham) as they are Partners in the UKPC, but there is no association or relationship between Sky Poker & DTD Online.

    Hope everything gets sorted satisfactorily.
