Hi all, I've been playing on Sky Poker for the last few months, only entering freerolls, small stake MTT's and satellites; I'm still learning the game but have improved recently and cashed quite a few times and won a couple of small stakes MTT's in the last couple of days. Anyway, I just thought I'd share this incredible slice of bad luck with you all, I don't think I could've got away from this hand and I was behind from the start. Take a look below and let me know what you think:
And I would have raised pre-flop if I were going to proceed with the hand at all. Posted by Wilhelm
Thanks for your comments - I agree, I should have raised pre-flop (and I usually do) but I think the other player would have called anyway. I'll bear in mind possible full houses in future too.
PS Fair enough, your nut flush being beaten by the straight flush beats mine - that's crazy! I guess it's really true when they say "That's poker."

Hi mate - I'm sure I've crossed swords with you at the tables.
No in-depth commentary from me. But I can tell you it is not usually ideal to limp with JQ under the gun.

Hi mate, yes I'm sure we have crossed swords on the tables. Thanks for your advice, I will definitely bear that in mind in future and I've learnt my lesson:
#1 Don't limp under the gun with marginal hands. #2 QJ unsuited should only be played from late position. #3 Always watch out for possible better hands, even if you think you're ahead, especially when someone moves all-in (in this case a full house beat my nut flush)
I think if I'd followed the above then I wouldn't have got into trouble.
