I suppose for sheer comedy value, & if I had a ton of chips, I mght just make the call, but really, it's a shocker.

Cannot win the low, needs to be quite lucky to win the high.

Is it really a shocker? AAAA might be a terrible hand to see a flop with but it's all in equity is not so bad. In fact if Hero is shoving 20% of his hands here then:

46% equity is more than enough equity for it to be an easily correct mathematical call getting these odds. In fact the worst shape we could possibly be in is 36.78% equity - against 5678ds (it can win the low and has many chances to win the high without the A blocker) - an unusual situation where this bad PLO8 hand is actually in great shape!! :P

But against nearly all of villains shoving range we are pretty much flipping in terms of equity. Folding would be a mathematical catastrophe barring ICM considerations! It'd be like folding AK in holdem knowing we are almost always in a race but getting insane odds.

Yeah I would have thought getting AAAA all in pre couldn't be that bad, given the low won't always play

For 600 chips out of 8200 I think he's got to call with any 4 there.  Put it this way.  If you were one of the other players and saw the bb fold there would you be happy?
