Value on the nuts

edited August 2014 in Cash Strategy
I suppose we've all been there, you get down to the river, you have the nuts and now it's a case of how much can i get paid for this hand. I have started jamming a lot thinking if i get paid 1 out of 4 times it will be better than eeking out smaller bets that may get a call every time.

I suppose I'm asking what are your tactics for judging getting the most out of nut hands? Is it just a case of trying to put them on a hand and guessing how much you think they will pay to see a river?

Put them on a rough range and bet what you think the most that can be called by that range is. If opponants call wide then jamming is fine if tighter then your going to need to bet smaller its will be different everytime depending on your opponant, board texture and the action on previous streets
