In Response to Re: SPT Newcastle Live Update Thread : LOL The "blonde dealer" was me, I doubt he reacted to my seductive eye contact! He got involved in a very early pot with Tikay! He just couldn't resist taking the big man on! Dave Posted by SolarCarro
the one who started preceedings on the FT, she must have been lurking at the back distracting him

Many thanks to SPT and the sky team and huge congrats to DaveyZZ I sneaked out as I perished last hand before the break at end of level 4 ran A 10 into AK poor play from me as I should have folded to the push! The SolarCarro SNG invitational at the end of the night with DP and Tikay was a scream! RESULT 1. Tikay £100 2. Dollie £60 3. SolarCarro £40 4. Mr Mbro £20 5. Loky-Rogy 6. Yorkie74 7. Mike1975 8. OnlyOneCT 9. JamieLou 10. DP Fitzgerald Great SNG congrats to TK Posted by SolarCarro
I'm convinced during that S&G, Tikay was doing some sort of Paul Daniel's magic act with the hole cards as all he kept getting was AA,AQ,AK,KK,QQ etc etc...
Now for someone who makes gnomes look like Norman Bates from Psycho, it was quite intimidating stuff on Tikay's part and i think the only hand i actually played was my beloved Q9 off-suit all-in against Dollie's AA's but joking aside it was an absolute laugh and i really did enjoy it.
Dont usually post comments but had to say what a fantastic day at Newcastle, met some great people, tounament was run superbly, great commentry from TK (!!), certainly all here from Rochdale are looking forward to trying to qualify for Luton, hopefully will see you all there
Yet another SPT has come and gone, and it was another great success. A big thank you to Chris and all his staff, really top notch(by the way the blond dealer was stunning). Although i didn't last that long(nothing unusual there lol), i did sit on 2 of the best sit n go tables. The first one was split into two halves, one end was full of merriment(me, and Onlyonect), the other looking, frankly bemused at the antics of our end of the table. Then, the invitational, with the ringmaster(TK), who had obviously done a deal with Solercarro, to be dealt all good cards.
Great thread, can't believe i missed it.... oh.. wait... I was too busy winning the "last longer bet" with the family! Had an amazing weekend, was so well organised, every person that I came across was polite and helpful. Was great to meet so many people and put faces to alias'.
The Play the Presenter SnG at 3am was such a laugh, it was worth losing half my stack just to attempt to blag Tikay. I'll get you next time my precious!!
Top weekend had by all I'd say. See you in Luton :-)
I almost forgot to let you know the BEST bit of the night. At 3.15 am OnlyoneCT, Dollie and myself left the casino, as we got to the night air, Dollie got accosted by a young lady, who was impressed with his pipe, and her words said that's really cool. Myself and CT were totally cracked up and said we were going to post that incident, under the heading, THE COOLEST 91 YEAR OLD IN THE WORLD.
A fantastic day, (except I was the bubbleboy......argh!!!!)
Congrats to Davey and all on final table for outstanding play. Also to TK, Rich and Des for another superb tourney, but we have all come to expect this now. Keep up the good work guys
That's us just arrived back in Shetland, well done Daveyzz and all the guys for making the final table. Another great event, Kathleen really enjoyed being a poker WAG for the weekend and as usual we met up with some real nice people and had a great time.
Till next time, looking forward to meeting you all again.
Well played everyone, good to add more faces to names and more names in general of quality players.
As for the SolarCarro invitational, who was the wily old guy who suggested we bumped it up from £10 to £20 and still only put £10 in... Didn't he go onto win it?
