    You are absolutely correct, it was a brutal hand to play and I have no excuse, I was just amazed at what the villian was holding......and I was practising posting here, I can't seem to get the copy and paste to work on some threads....

    78 in the cutoff ? 

    Come onnnnnnnnnnnn slipwater. People have to play hands for poker to work, otherwise nothing would ever happen!

    I wouldn't criticise a fold if you're not very confident post flop etc, but it's extremely harsh to criticise opening it................ 

    It flops reasonably well, we're very deep, we're very likely to have position post flop, we have the betting lead, it has alot going for it !

    Raise is fine really. Gotta hate those hands when you flop 2 pair and then lowest card pairs so any top pair now beats you :(

    Sure, an open is fine, but early in a bounty hunter, in early position, a 2x raise isn't going to do anything other than... take a few folk along for the ride, and you're likely already behind with two mid-range black connectors.
