On this link it states 1,650 dollar buy-in to 500,000 dollar GTD Main Event. But it doesnt state what the name of the tournament actually is anywhere on that page.
Great promo. Was at this same hotel in February and had an amazing time. Thought the poker room was a bit small for such a big tourney tho? Posted by delpotty
I vote to remove delpotty from the running in this promotion. He has already been to the Caribbean this year, and going twice is, well... just greedy.
The package looks great. The location looks amazing. Definitely something to go for. I do have a couple of questions though, obviously I'll wait for the official thread.

Thanks Tommy.
It'll probably be tomorrow (Monday) before I start it, as I am awaiting some info & clarification, but I'll start it today if chance permits.
100% up for this! But like Tommy, many questions to ask. Spent all morning trying to book 'fake flights'. Seems only way u can get there direct (ish) is with Air France via CDG. British Airways it's via JFK over 2days. Unless I'm being a dork (which is probable).

There is a direct flight from Gatwick flight no: BA2205 return BA2204. Price is £600+though so for 2 the £800 is not going to cover it.

Yes thanks, just realised the problem wasn't getting from London To The Dominican..... It was getting from Newcastle to London ffs!!! U couldn't make it up. No BA flights to LGW. No seats on a Tues' morning LHR bound flight til the back end of November. That's why it was sending me to CDG. So = DORK

you can get flight on flybe from newcastle to southampton. £62 return Then train from southampton to london gatwick - £40.80 return.
Hopefully Tikay will be able to give some info on this Q&A thread about it but from what I can see, the £800 credited to your account isnt even close to covering the cost of the flights for 2 people.
Think I (and most people) would rather just reduce some of the $1500 hotel credits and have my flights paid for.

+1 (even though I doubt very much I'd even be in contention lol) - especially as hotel is all inclusive? so what would you spend the $1500 on???

Gotta love the Caribbean!
Hopefully it's a sign that the day all the winners fly out (4th November) is also my birthday... would be a great birthday pressie
No tan lines.
I will do a Q & A & "containment" thread over the weekend & post all the nitty gritty, & we can use that thread for comments, feedback, Q & A etc.
Satellites don't start until Monday, so we are cool.
I'll do a thread to give the details, & collate feedback.

Such a greatly underused word.
oh - The Dominican Republic
hmmm - not the nicest place in the world!
