speaking to some 1  think i made a mistake in this hand by shoving 20 bigs preflop

Yeah open shoving 20 bigs effective in a sat at any stage with any hand isn't great BUT it's no where near as big a mistake as calling a 20xBB shove with ATo in a sat.

It's a rare spot Donk, imo, completely passive chicken, big girls blouse play works here----- so you were always going to be out of your comfort zone ;)

Yeah, maybe a min raise pre, then a c bet of 10k - 12k might take it down. But he may still call the flop, given his stack size and his gutshot. Then you probably check the turn, as he does, and the rivered king... I don't know, are you betting that? It's a bit of a horrid card for you because it brings in a lot of two pair hands. I wouldn't be thinking of the straight, but would think I'm beaten here a fair amount of the time. So I think you check and, depending on how much he bets, you can get away on the end. The pot is 36k - 40k, so if he just sticks in 8k, maybe you call, but more than that and you may let it go.

But it's a terrible spot anyway.
