If you want to play the hand OTB, open up with a raise. We have 30bb which is plenty to be opening with.

Make it 8000-10,000 preflop and take control of the hand.

I definitely should have raised, when I got the hand back too look at was wondering why I never tbh.

I did fold after little thought with slight disappointment by the end, but was quite sure I made the right decision, but could have played better pre and post flop myself.

Yeah as above, I fold to any bet on turn tbh, as Larson said the villains could have anything. I would guess a flush draw vs a 2 pair.

And I echo the raise. a5 not a limping hand for the above reason, just costs you chips in the long run as a good aggro player will just punish that play

Don't think it's a clear fold tbh (if it is one at all)

The only thing that is clear is that we shouldn't be limping. Standard minraise on the button here.

I don't understand what Larson means about even if we're ahead it'll cost us money... sure it's not going to be the lowest variance of methods but if we have the opportunity to get it in now against KK and A3ss then I'm absolutely loving life and it aint costing us money at all.

Larson's right, because it's a limped pot, they can now have pretty much anything, but we beat almost everything so that's alright ;)

    To break it down...

    Hands we lose to
    67, A8, A9, 55, 88, 99 (I'm discounting AA due to preflop action)

    Hands we beat
A2, A3, A4, A6, A7, AT, AJ (AQ/AK small chance if they don't raise pre), 89, 58, 59, JT, 7T, all spade combos. All of which we absolutely crush when there's only 1 card to come, and all of which they can have because it's a limped pot.

So tons more hands that we beat than we lose to, and all the hands that we beat are in terrible shape with only 1 card to come, plus we're getting a great price, plus we still got 15xBB to grind if we lose.

I don't think I'm folding here, I presume you're gonna say one of them had us beat or got there (otherwise you prob wouldn't have posted it), but that doesn't make it a bad call.

Misread the intial post, didn't realise we had 2 pair lol

Thought it was Ace with a 5 kicker.

I would be raising the flop (as played)

On the turn, as played, it's really difficult, prob lean more towards a fold.

    I was ahead.

Both players turned 89o, was kicking myself because the size of the pot would have been a great one too take. But felt i was defo behind with two shoves. Which is why i folded. Felt somone hit trips or even a better two pair. A9 etc
