***** LIVE SHOW THREAD - UKOPS XI - SUNDAY 2nd NOVEMBER *****

edited November 2014 in Poker Chat

Hi, hope you have a good show.

I believe it is UKOPS XI btw. I could be wrong, but that is what King Kendall is calling it, and he hates to be wrong.

    Evening All!

Well the trickle treating is OVER so let’s ditch the Frankenstein masks, witch outfits (though mine was rather good) and bring out the balloons

The eleventh edition of UKOPS is back and its more jam-packed with great poker than ever before.

My partner in crime this evening will be analyst Mr Starch aka ROSS JARVIS

SO… what’s in store in terms of this mega online poker series that’s coming your way?

Just a cool £250,000 GTD in prizes over the next 8 days!

£25k GTD in tonights 7.30pm High Roller

    Tonight’s show looks like this...

7pm – Midnight – UKOPS XI– We’ll be jumping back and forth from the various UKOPS events on skypoker.com including the 7.30pm HIGH ROLLER

There’s going to be 5 UKOPS events every evening:

7pm – Micro  (tonight's Bounty Hunter Buy in is £3.30)

8pm – Main  (tonight's Bounty Hunter Buy in is £110)

    8.30pm – Mini  (tonight's Rebuy Buy in is £5.50)

9pm – Challenger  (tonight's PLO Hi Freezeout Buy in is £22)

10pm – Side (tonight's Bounty Hunter Buy in is £55)

(check out the promotions page for more info)

As well as these TONIGHT we also have the

HIGH ROLLER FREEZEOUT kicking off at 7.30pm (buy in £530)

A range of buy-ins, structures and variations to suit everyone’s poker needs I’m sure you’ll agree!

Also, plenty of satellites to try and get in on the cheap and play from the new skypoker app for ipads and iphones.

We’ll be dropping in on a few of our skypoker buddies to see how they will be faring in the UKOPS events tonight, including Stapes and Karl.

Rumour has it after Mr Chris Moorman’s appearance on the show on Thursday, he will also be playing the UKOPS High Roller and Main Event Bounty Hunter tonight too.

Here’s where it gets JUICY…COMPETITION TIME!

Want to win a UKOPS side event seat for this week?

Tell us out of Karl and Joe who will last longer in the Main and by how many places?

We’re also asking if you can PREDICT where Chris Moorman’s finishing positions will be in both the Main and the High Roller?

The three nearest answers will win seats into a UKOPS side event.

    For eg:

High Roller - Chris will finish 10th

Bounty Hunter – Chris will finish 50th.

    Combined finishing positions 10 + 50 = 60

ALL the UKOPS events will be TV flagged so if you’re playing, send us your hand ids, tell us which event you’re playing, get your questions to Ross and we’ll get you on the telly! There might even be some more spot prizes if you’re lucky!

Ways to get in contact and enter the comps:

    Email usSkyopen@bskyb.com

Tweet us: #skypokertv (Follow us @skypoker)

    Here on the forum

As Ross and I will both be competing in some of the UKOPS events on Tuesday night, feel free to mention any more ideas for last longer forfeits for us too (non fancy dress related please…)

    Someone mentioned Ross liked singing?!?!

    Just an idea....

Wow, so much going on tonight I hope you’re going to be there to share our first night of UKOPS XI together!!

And as its nearly FIREWORKS time…

    Laura x

With Ross sitting beside you, Laura, I can't believe Chris Moorman is getting away with only playing tonight's Main and not the Mini.

It's probably worth clarifying what is involved in the prediction comp, I assumed the joe/karl is just for fun because otherwise it would be crazy complicated to judge the winner...
(FWIW my favourite eggcorn is tubberware...)

    UKOPS-Mania is here!!!!!!!!!!!

It's going to be awesome. I'm slightly devastated not to be at home playing the High Roller (not on Moorman's table ideally) and Main Event (and watching Homeland - yes, I still do) but I'm doing the second best thing possible; talking about them on the TV!

Hope you all get involved in the event that suits your bankroll. Or take a few stabs at some satellites too.

See you from 7pm - please fire the questions and hand requests at us - we love to hear from you guys.

    Ross

Have fun to two of my fave presenters. Question for Mr Starch. What is your bounty hunter strategy. As in
, how important do you view bounties and how much of a risk should you take in going for them?

    I'll be watching!
