Actually, you make a fair point, the chap behind Lord Smirk is Louis, who is one of the Show Producers, so he does not count for the Comp really.

I'm afraid I can't award you a UKOPS XI "Mini" seat, as I'm too late.

However, you can have a Mini Seat in the next UKOPS, or a "Turbo Tuesday" Entry for tomorrow.

Nobody guessed the actual reason for the Meeting. It only took place last Wednesday (5th November) so could not be a "pre UKOPS Meeting".

The purpose of the Meeting was two-fold. 

1) A general briefing & "course" so that all the Presenters & Analysts better understand the way legislation, ASA & OFCOM affects what we can or cannot say on Ch 861. It is amazingly complicated, & not all of it makes sense, but it has to be complied with. This is particularly relevant now that Ch 861 has so many Guests. If a Guest says something "out of line", it is Ch 861 who are responsible.

2) A General "how can we make Ch 861 better?" get-together. It was unaniminously agreed that the best way to do this would be to get rid of Lord Smirk. Unforch, Dan Bulmer, who runs Ch 861 at present, would not agree. We're working on him though.
