So whats happened to the freerolls at a decent hour. I have 500 points which are now quite useless as your £20 freeroll, yes £20 lol is 1.00am and 6.45 a.m. You used to have decent freerolls at 4,5,6,and 7 in the evening . Now u can only enter with points earned in the last 24hrs.? miss a day and might as well bin them? whats all that about? For years you have had decent freerolls in the early evening but unless I play at 1 in the morning they are useless. If you miss a day you have nothing in the last 24hrs so no use? This is quite deliberate and has just started in the last couple of weeks

There are 4 good freerolls today between 4pm and 6pm, as long as you have 60 points and a fiver balance you can play the lot. Seems pretty decent to me.

Freerolls are run for a variety of reasons, but mainly to reward regular players, attract "lapsed" players back, or attract new players to the Site.

The problem with "no entry barrier" Freerols is that they can become dominated by players who have never, & will never, deposit money onto the site, & so this steals value from the regular players.
 
Most current Freerolls on Sky Poker have a minimal entry barrier - say, £5 balance, or x Poker Points in the last x hours. This ensures the money is reasonably distributed. If there were no entry barrier at all - a Free Free Freeroll - it would get, literally, thousands of runners, most of whom, have no intention of ever depositing on Sky Poker.  

I don't know if today is a typical example, but there is around £200 worth of Freerolls today, of which £60 is cash, & around £140 in the form of seats to MTT's. They ALL have an entry barrier of some form, &/or charge a nominal 50p (50 pence) for Rebuys & add-ons. So these Freerolls will be largely populated by "active" players on Sky Poker. 

Note that if Sky Poker gave away £200 per day every day of the year (in total, it is probably a lot more) that comes to over £70,000 per year. It would make no sense to give that to players who have no intention of ever Depositing here, & it's right & proper that existing players have a reasonable chance of cashing in these.

It's never easy to please everyone, but it's remarkably difficult to give away money without upsetting some.

my thoughts on this isnt about the entry req for freeroll tourneys its about the variety at the moment the 10pt freeroll isnt even worth getting a rebuy or add-on because you can min cash and still lose money so my idea is maybe a £50 freeroll for 25pts or £100 for 50 pts. this is no change to the ratio of points to prizes but means that buying a rebuy or addon might be worth it if you still profit on min cash

i wish u could put a big free role to reward reg players. i rake about 5000 points per month, and got a balance of 50,000 points. i know u cash for points is brilliant thats why i play on you site. but these 50,000 are pretty useless playing 30 point freeroles. i would love to see a 500 point free role once a week with prize adaqaute to that leval. i belive on sky u reward the high players prioty players like u should. and the low stack players. i belive the middle players like myself and not reward as much as these two groups. Would love a response for tk or someone else on sky regarding this issue.

PS I love sky keep up the gd work and can we not have ukops every week.
