Question for the lads out there Anna or Beyonce ? In my opinion Anna ;-)

Anyways poker question.

How do you play AK in the big blind in a bounty hunter tournament, The reason i ask this is i was playing in a bounty hunter recently mid way through so probably around half hour / hour before the cash. At this point i was yet to get head so i was playing a little tight cause i wanted to at least make min cash.

I was doing ok chip wise had around 25 / 30 big blinds which is prime shoving time i had AK in big blind and was going to shove it all in. however the tournament chip leader shoved the button also went in after him... i lost my nerve and folded. it was KK vs QQ and i would have lost.

I did manage to cash and got a few heads after the bubble!

In the long term should i have called it and hoped for treble up to put me in a position to win the tournament?
