Maybe.
But if we are not Pros, & play poker as a recreation, it strikes me as pretty good advice, some people take it way too seriously imo.
I don't know Jimb0's personal situation, but I assume he is a "recreational". I've played him a fair bit lately though, & I fancy he is a winning player.
A "winning recreational" is about as good as most of us dare to dream of - realistically.
When you read some of the Diaries on here, by players who struggle to break even, do you really think they are enjoying the game? In some cases it really looks like they are torturing themselves. As a recreational pastime, that makes no sense to me. There are loads of enjoyable things we can do in our spare time.
I read ALL the Diaries Don, yours included.

I'll say this though - you exemplify what I mean by recreationals enjoying themselves AND being winners at the game, & you certainly don't take the game too seriously, you play purely for fun.
I doubt you've ever watched a poker coaching vid in your life, have you?
NB: - For those that don't know Macac, she is (I'll be polite) a middle aged housewife, with a winning record over a 22,000 (twenty two thousand) game sample on Sky Poker. And she plays for fun & enjoys every single poker session.
Housewife? I wish!
