Java and Flash player updates

Finally I have resolved my issues with my selections not being actioned..... on both Java and Adobe's web pages it says in big red letters we recommend you delete your older versions and reinstall the latest one...

As my computer is set to update these things automatically all the older versions still remained in my computer and its only when I read more detailed information from both Java and Adobe that it became clear what the issue was....

The older versions will still try and run side by side with the newer ones and in both cases it leads to what can only be described as a jam up.... and it makes sky poker do all sorts of annoying things like freeze and crash...

I have posted before that there were issues with the older versions of Java conflicting with the newer ones but it wasn't until Matt at sky also suggested doing the same with flash player as there were similar issues with that too..

I think its pretty inconceivable that the techs at sky aren't aware of these issues too so why have they not posted any advice about it and will they please consider doing so....

I sent the above to sky before posting it as I do not want to post anything that is technically inaccurate. I received a reply from Lee at sky this morning saying they were happy for me to post it but he pointed out there is a section under support that covers some of this.....

Indeed so but it dose not recommend deleting older versions and only mentions flash player....... perhaps they will consider updating the advice they have offered..... I imagine most peoples updates are set to automatic and older versions still remain in their computers and they need to be removed....
