    his is what wik says

Sky Poker is the company's online poker division, which allows users to play poker on their website and screens selected hands from various games and tournaments (on a slight delay) on its television channel of the same name. Like Sky Vegas the company offers its service in browser rather than with downloadable software. The company uses the slogan 'Where Poker Comes Alive'. The channel Sky Poker launched in February 2007 with a program entitled "The Open", which is a (£10 entry) poker tournament. Since then the channel has expanded to show more content from the site, as well as the Sky Poker UK Tour (SPUKT). On the TV, Sky Poker typically has a presenter and an analyst, with occasional studio guests. Each hand shown is analysed by both the presenter and the analyst.

Yes, liquidity was thin at first, but they had what's called a "soft-launch", so when the Channel started - 31/01/07 - (it was Channnel 846 in those days) there was (were?) a base of players already.

The Open was capped at 300 players initially!

It's strange, peeps are complaining about the thin liquidity of Omaha games here, & it's only been here for 3 weeks. Give it time, & it'll grow, just as Hold 'Em here has.

Sky Poker is a tidy-sized Site now, & unlike most Online Rooms, is still growing rapidly.

    yea i like it here...
software not the best but there are enough good factors to outweigh that and soon there will be a download to improve it so should be great :)

Did Sky contribute to overlays at the start and if so, did they ever cheat us players out of 50p??? :)

If it were only 50p it would not matter. But 56p is a different thing altogether.

    A fiasco, in fact.
