Was this a poor snap-fold?

edited January 2015 in Cash Strategy
With 3 others in the pot, in a fairly laggy table, is there a case for calling here?

I never figure SB to be strong... UTG more so, but figured more 2pr/set combos... MP in the chat box sort of gave away the hand he rocked up with... but it's easy in hindsight to look on and think this was the perfect set-up.

I mean, it'd be a guaranteed call if I had the As, right... but Ks?  Qs?

Hi shaking. Would like an update on your blog btw! :)

I think its an easy fold with your hand. For starters we have invested very little, we are not drawing to the nuts so can easily be dominated and we are relying on hitting a flush as its doubtful our overs are clean outs.

As for if we have the A spades? Well, we would have 8 clean outs for the nuts (maybe 7 if he has 45s) so lets say thats about 30% or so. We have to call 20 to win 70 so I guess its very close. There are better players that can say exactly so I'm a bit torn in what I would do. I think with that much action someone has to have at least a set so we can still lose even with a flush so that probably sways me to folding (if we had A spades in our hand).

Would be interesting to know what others think.

I know its gutting to see the 'if only' pots we could have won go away but remember the times you've folded a monster and been right!

Oh, and the guy with KK. I'm folding here so that would be a nice question to be answered - is that a fold or call?

I'm calling the shove from the small blind, but can't really justify going with it when there's another all-in and a call.

about all you could do,poss flush or pair q,s against all in.

opps, seem to be two 3 spades...think your hand needed folding

2 overs and the 3rd nut flush draw facing 3 all ins?! Great spot to gamble ;)

I would never count my overs into the equation here - but at these stakes I'd expect to see over pairs and sets a lot of time in this spot.

On that assumption I could have up to 8 outs (2 of spades no good) so ~32% I hit my flush less the times the board pairs.

So my odds here could be pretty good to call... possibly better than if I was vs a single all in with someone that has a set, made straight or KK+

That was why I figured it should always be a call with AsXs and MAY be a call with Ks/Qs...

    I do like a gamble mind :/

My post was tongue in cheek ;) It's a sigh fold unless you've consumed a bottle of wine.

Call if you can see their cards?

I take that as read for all your posts tbf :)

The guy that called with KK always tries to talk me into playing live at his local casino. Based on calls like that I'm tempted to go and try some live cash at last...

I think I would have called that.
