I made a FT but don't know what to do!

Me?

FT of the £8.80 £400 gtd F/O. Y is a good player, one that I shared a FT with earlier in the day. X is, to put it nicely, not very good. Pretty obvious that myself and Y want to get HU with X and not have to battle each other for the top prize. Thoughts on what to do above.....

FYI, the blinds are going up to 1250/2500 the very next hand, and payouts are something like £60, £88 and £148.

:)

    Minraise/fold is best here imo.

Same for me. You still have a playable stack and with a weaker player you can get chips from then why take a high risk play?

    Snap cause KJcc never loses.

Tank it up and fold :-)

I really dont think i could fold here, 17 bbs 3 handed plays like 9bbs 6handed, im either shoving or min raising and then calling off one shove. any good player will be shoving on you with any under pair, a few worse kx and jx hands, and raggy aces where we probably are getting a good price against given whats in the middle and the position we will be in if we win....

if this was 6 handed its an easy fold but 3 handed i think folding would be super nitty.

I think with this hand if your not willing to raise/call off I'd be limping in. It's a hand that plays very well 2 or 3 way in position vs wide ranges and definitely a hand where we want to invite the fish in. Limping in will make BB slightly less inclined to ship his Ace-rag hands since there's less chips out there too win and his shove becomes quite big in comparison to pot size. If he decides to just raise instead he gives us the option to ship in over his raise - and thus giving us potential fold equity over his Ace-rag hands as opposed to the other scenario where he has the fold equity.

Limping range would include some QQ-AA, some strong Ax hands, some suited connector type hands from 78 up to QJ and then KTs-KQs and QTs too.

Some very interesting replies, thanks guys.

The result; I felt villain was putting maximum pressure on me with quite a wide range, as he obviously wanted to grind me down and get HU with the poor player. I wasn't in love with it but felt KJs plays pretty well vs the range I was giving him, basically any pair, any A, some broadway combos that we beat....So I called it off.

    And lost :)

    He had 22 fwiw.

Food for thought Ivan ^, TY.

    Yeah +1

Never considered having a limping range, always assumed it was bad play. Are we strictly talking 3 handed here then?
