Bounty Hunter - Why can't I re-raise after an all in and call?

Question... Sorry if i'm not explainingh this very well but in a 3 way pot, when someone re-raises me all in, and a 3rd player flat calls, why can't i re-raise again?

Post flop i lead out for 360, small stack jams for 705, player 3 flat calls, and then i can't re-raise, only call

The betting only re-opens if the all-in player is able to make a full re-raise.

Unfortunately in your scenario "acepat" did not have enough chips to make a full re-raise, therefore the betting cannot re-open, so the only options left are to call or fold.

As the others have explained, & also, this is standard, across poker, Live & Online.

It does not matter if it is a BH or anything else, the "under-raise" rule is pretty standard across all formats of poker.

For what it's worth. Be aware Mal007 could of re-raised if he wanted to because he hadn't made an action on this street of betting, so that gives you a clue that he didn't want to reopen the betting.

Thats a very good, & important point.

The downside is that, like many, he may not have realised the consquences of just flatting, rather than RTI.

Excellent thanks all... he had J9 so i'll give Mal007 credit for just flatting... I'll pay more attention to my bet sizing from now on... keep up the good work!
