is this an idiotic fold on end i think a have a  edge  3 handed with the players left i could not put him on any other hand he been very niti all time. or is this just to tight of a fold.

Yeah cant blame you for folding,  he could easily have akc, or Ac3c or any Ac combination really, 3 handed he will prob play most ace hands. Imo anyway. Gf id say and well played last night, unlucky not too jackpot wp sir.

    Yeah folding as played.

Anyone got any thoughts on checking back turn?

Hmmm I'm the only fish that's shovelling my chips in here then?

Would it not be the case that as big stack, with 3 times as many chips as 2nd and 3rd (who are roughly equal in chips) the big stack is going to find ways to put you to the test for your whole stack... just like they could be doing here?

He gets to rep the flush and may even have an Ax type hand (non-flush) that figures it could be good even if you do think he's trying to buy the pot and call him down light.

Add in the possbility of other two pair combos (A9/A2/A4 or even something like K9) and I'd feel like a call gives a nice pot and chips us up for a better run at the win.

Appreciate player dynamics may change this though... to my own cost I have notes on plenty of players where they c/c, c/c, donk a monster on the river :)

Not sure its as clear cut as it first appears. You're right at the top of your range here. Beating every paired ace or random 2 pair combo. Tough spot.

It's just on Sky, if someone calls down then donk piles it in on the river when whatever draw has got there, they usually have it and are not just repping it.

Still have over 20bb behind so can't fault the fold though. Sucks to pass though.

If checked to on the river, what were you doing out of interest?

ty for u replay guys funcky hand think i made the right pass. hhr if he cheacks to me on river i value bet if he cheacks raise me im in tough sport but probally sigh call beacsue i would have only10-12 big blinds left. also chris ty mate fought it was jackpot time but on to the other one. this was not in the main/mini this was in the 55 9,30 bounty hunter. also i dont like the idea of cheacking the turn because i need to vaule against weeker aces and also make him pay for the flush draw. the amount i bet on turn does not give him the price to chase he flush so want him to call with flush draw.

without any info i probably fold, but with the extra info you have provided then i think i would be snap folding too.. if he is a tight player he is probably only shoving flushes and possible sets, also the fact he has called from the small blind makes me doubt he would have a worse 2 pair as flatting the sb with raggy aces is pretty rare late on in mtts, but suited connectors and small pairs seem to be a far more common hand to flat from that position as they are easier to play.... but as you said i definitely wouldnt be checking the turn as there are lots of hands you need to charge and your only worry at that point is a set, and i personally never worry about being behind to sets late on in mtts as its such a rare occurance especially when stacks are low and you dont wanna be losing value

I feel pretty happy that I would play this hand the exact same way as such a good player as yourself. Against a lot of players its a sigh call as hhy says but a tight player this deep in an MTT? A definate fold. I cant see a tight player ever shoving a set or 2 pr on that river and would have expected a turn raise.

As for checking back turn, I dont think we can for not only the reasons you say but you would be expected to barrel again with your air/draw hands too so you can disguise your actual hand strength somewhat.
