    Well… long time no see… 

    I can’t actually remember the last time I was in the studio but it was quite some time ago as I’ve been jet setting out of the country for January – tough life I know! So, how have you been keeping? Hope Orford, Fowler and Co. have been holding the roost ok and managed to keep you mildly entertained ;) Probably not…

     

    Tonight I'm on with my old pal and pro-analyst Mr Ryan Spittles! And we've got a great line up for you... 


    FINALLY it’s that time. The UK Poker Championships has kicked off once again (for the 3rd time) in Nottingham’s Dusk Til Dawn today at 3pm – its Day 1a and there are plenty of starting days and actually still time for you to qualify.

    But tonight is your LAST CHANCE SALOON! You can still buy in direct of course from tomorrow (Monday).

     

    We’ll definitely be looking at the UKPC qualifiers tonight and may even mix it up with some Mastercash and Super Roller coverage.

    At 7.15pm it’s the Semi Final – so last chance to satellite for the final and

    At 9.15pm, it’s the Final and we have 15 seats guaranteed!

    Hi, Laura, welcome back. 

    I'm not sure I can answer your second question as I'm not sure the words "my" and "golden run" belong in the same sentence. I did once cash in 16 successive DYMs, I'm not sure that qualifies. Anyway, it's the best I've got to offer.

    Evening all. Loving the show so far. Much better then that great big lummox Orfords last attempt.

    My golden run moment would either be when I had quads 5 times in one night and got paid for 4 of them or it may of been on Friday when I got into the UKPC final tonight after winning a freeroll and then getting through the semi. I could be playing in the UKPC for nothing. Talk about value!

    Hi guys, love shows when Ryan is on as he is by FAR and ahead the best analyst in my opinion.

    My best shot at a last chance saloon is tonight...... Buying in to the £48 semi for UKPC and then binking my £1k UKPC seat tonight

    My best golden runs were 3 years ago where I won king of the hill heads up promotion a record 11 nights in a row and turned £7 into £1200 and last year where in 7 nights I won the £55bh twice and final tabled it a further 3 times and a main event final table and a mini final table all in a week.

    Could do with another week like that.

    After having a horrid bad beat playing live last night, where the guy called my £155 turn bet with a flush draw and hitting it on the river, I decided to attempt to qualify into tonight's main, thankfully I have managed this. Wish me luck guys! I hope you all brought your shards... Cause I'm gonna shine! have a good show.

    Hi Ryan and Laura

    Good luck to everyone in the UKPC this week.

    My GOLDEN RUN was last Friday night (20th Feb) when I won the Mini bounty hunter.  I made the final table and took 9 hands to knock everyone out.  I took 16 heads and won £466.  One of the hands I took 2 players out at the same time.  Hand id 876854824.

    Good luck to all the VIVA LAS VEGAS players.

    Great show so far.

    Last Chance Saloon
    My "Last Chance Saloon" was the very for the SPT (Sky Poker Tour) - There was just one satelite left and after that it would be direct buy in. I had tried many in the weeks before but decided it probaby just wasn't going to happen.

    I opened up the lobby & registered for the last satelite, I ran better than Usain Bolt from the very start and mannaged to bag my place int the SPT Live Final where I eventually finished in 16th place for £640.00.

    Golden Run
    My golden run happened during the X'mas UKOPs I finished 2nd in the main event for £1750 & also cashed in a mini event and various other tournies over x'mas - sadly it has all come to an end lol, but it was great fun while it lasted.

    Regarding Ryan's date.

    I think we ought to open a thread and auction off Ryan's body to the highest bidder. :=)

    Proceeds to the TLB charities of course.

    Yes, was a bit aggressive with the KK. I thought he had a hand like he did, so should have called as Ryan said and folded when the flush hit.

    However, yes I will still be at the UKPC. Managed to get a spot on Team Sky Poker, so delighted to be representing Sky at DTD.

    In fact, I just got back from the UKPC Mini a couple of hours ago. Managed to cash for £325, so I've got my beer money for next weekend.

    Hi Laura and Ryan,

    Enjoying the show so far.

    I have a question for Ryan: how much money or return on investment had you made when you decided to go pro? Do you think there is a benchmark return that someone should achieve before seriously considering taking up poker as a full time profession?

    A golden moment at poker, well I suppose this is one of them.
    I was Multi tabling cash about 10 years ago, I was on about 20 tables at the time and therefore a bit busy.
    I was having a good day and was about $900 up when an irritating pop up appeared from the site saying "Congratulations". I minimised it quickly as it was in the way and I was busy with my $2000 on the tables. It still bothered me what it was so I closed down the tables to see what it said. It said I had been in the hand of a bad beat Jackpot and my share was over $20,000.
