basically villain didnt have much on me, i have been sat for 20 hands max... and playin fairly nitty as i do at the start of most sessions.

So do u call in his spot with 88... opinions please???????????????????
  • edited January 2010
once he craises he should call really. Especially against an unknown. if i was him i wouldnt craise though to be honest unless you wanna put yourself in tough spots constantly.

He's put 20 in the middle, he knows you could be holding a big ace here. I think he makes a crying call hoping you have got a big ace. Do i like his c/r on the flop? No, not for that amount anyway. I think it's too much as really all he wants to do is get over's to fold and take the pot down there. The amount he puts in starts to commit him and that's why I wouldn't like a shove from you here with a big ace as he'll probably make a crying call like he did.

yea pretty much agree... wat sort of range u puttin me on in this spot???

I can only assume you had 77???  Or total air like KQ?

But yeah at 50nl, unless you hvae a good read on the villain, a flop C/R means that they ain't folding so no point in doing it unless you have some pretty decent equity.

reading thru and thinking about it he obv has to call once C/R but he def made a bad move to c/r soo much, if he made it 10 i wud still shove and he can pass,

as it happens i had a combo so had pretty decent equity against any 2... ironically he was prob happy to see i was drawing but he gotta fade so many cards.
