I think you have to bet there.  He calls with any A and prob 9x too.

Yea more I think about it more I agree with ya, hes bet pot with a 4 high FD, then check called when he hit it, - it was about 2am after 10 beers - game over. nvm.

for once i agree with dohhhh's line, given the relative stacks there isnt as much need to bet that turn, and u dont want to get rid of his river bluffing range.  
 
u gotta bet the river, prob 3/4 pot and hope to get a stubborn call from a hand like 44-77, or maybe Ax.

looking at it again I can kinda see why he flats river.  you are an aggro player so he would probably think that you VB turn with a 9.  also with the A river it would make a VB from a 9 very think indeed.  plus he can't see you floating with Ax.

so it does look totally possible that you have a flush too, and with a 4 high flush he can't really C/R river as anything that calls him has him beat.

but yeah just keep betting in spots like this cos most of the time he has worse As etc and I think in the long run its a winning play.
