MTT Strategy.

Hi All,

Would anyone recommend any good books or guides to help one improve their game on MTT's.

I am starting t play them more than I ever and would like to gain some extra knowledge.

Also anyone whom is offerening some advice/lessons I would be interested in.

Dan Harrington's books are the standard text, even if a little out of date nowadays. Don't let that put you off, just buy volume 2 and it'll easily pay for itself.

David Sklansky's book 'Tournament play for advanced players' is worth a read if you can pick it up cheap. Don't buy it at full price as too much of it is preachy. There's a great bit in there entitled 'Don't turn AQs into seven deuce' that's eye-opening if you're new to MTTs.

Worth a look is Jonathan Little's Secrets of Professional Tournament Poker. Again a little dated but most of the concepts are still valid.

Gus Hansen's Every Hand Revealed is a fun read (it takes you through every hand when Gus won the Aussie Millions) but will be fatal to your bankroll if you try to play like him. Be warned.

Most those I've mentioned were written a decade or so ago. Many people wouldn't buy a book nowadays as so much information is available on forums, but there''s always Chris Moorman's 'Book of Poker' if you want something modern. It's chock full of hand histories and is not that great a read to be honest.

If I had to name just one book, it's the first one above: Dan Harrington's  'Harrington on Hold'Em volume 2 - expert stratgey for no limit tournaments'.

I like the look of four to a straight
